Normally I like the highlights but in the last few matches they have become very lop-sided. These highlights showed 20 points for the USA and only 9 points for China. Set 1 was awful. 7 to 1 points for the US. If the sets would have been blowouts I can understand but each set was close. The same thing happened in the Bulgaria vs Canada match. I hope someone will address and correct this biased selection of highlights.
On a positive note I really enjoy these 2 commentators together.

The speed of Americans in this match was the same when they fought at gold medal match in Tokyo Olympics. Great roster for Coach Karch everyone in his roster can contribute and give a point. Happy to watch them here at Manila 🥺🦋
USA is really showing its depth with their roster. On any given day, whatever starting six Karch is going to put on the floor is going to show up and show out. Today was no exception. It’s going to be hard to decide which 14 to conclude the final week and which to go to World Champs.
A good problem to have, the opposite is loaded on well oiled, skilled, talented Drews, Thompson now this new girl Cuttino who’se equally talented though spike isn’t stronger than the two but her angles are awesome.

Okay, for some of you who doesn't know, karch is making the VNL as their international training ground, he exposes his players on an international competition through making them feel how international competition works while training them at the same time. It's like their taking advantage of their deep players and karch has a spectacular brain that works at its peak everytime! Love from Philippines 🇵🇭

The USA never ceases to amaze. More recent students smash or play on equal terms with the strongest professional teams in the world. But Karch can recruit 5-6 more national teams for himself, what kind of choice does he have. Bravo USA, I love all your volleyball players. 👏

First time to see them live and in flesh here in the Philippines, I was impressed especially the libero she's indeed the best. Plummer was the best scorer in this match, she had 3 lethal pipe attacks in the last 3 sets. Thanks VNL for allowing us to experience world class volleyball in Manila 💗🎉💗

This is why Japan’s winning streak is not making me believe it. Meaning unless they go against Italy, Turkey, Brazil,China, and USA then I will. The USA they beat did not include most of the gold medalists.

I wish China won against USA so that they can be a bot lax on Japan. now they will be extra tight against Japan. praying Japan finish the 2nd week undefeated
Filipinos really showed up for Thailand vs Japan, the two teams with the largest fan base among the Filipinos (apart from our own NT).
Majority of the crowd for that night were Chinese mainlanders living in Manila.
I assume China vs Japan would be packed considering the latter seems to be the favorite in this series.

China team is not as good as it used to be. Japan's women team is on the rise and getting so much better both on defense and offense. They are amazing.
Probably their best performance so far, need to work on the quick middle defense though.

What a great game from both teams! I’m mainly impressed with USA’s offense vs one if the best blocking teams in the works (something like 50 attack points vs china’s 35). USA had almost a set worth of errors so they can definitely do better. I’m still not sold on cutino but she has potential; shes really bad at reading the ball on defense and she runs with her platform out, which is weird to see at that level for me at least. I always knew plummer was great, Her defense will never be at the level of larson and michelle, because of how tall she is but I think her passing is definitely good enough. I wanna see this lineup woth obogu and thompson and possibly hentz (my fav libero).

Agree on cotino. Ita frustrating to watch her defense. Even her offense is still sloppy. Shes tall and should give it more power on her attacks. I still want to see annie drews and thompson on the finals.

@@ndomingo2906 not really! When it comes to being the best hentz is the best! Wong has more experience since she has been since 2018 until now. Hentz recently started last year and levels up to the same as Her. Now imagine how she would do if they give her more time. Like Wong….

USA won but they made lots of errors, 22 errors againt's China's 10. Plummer is the stand out here, 20 points with decent passing, an improvement from Bulgaria's match.
A lot of those errors coming from hancock's serves.
@@chrissaligan4941 you are so right; I only saw the first set live then had to watch the replay to see where all those errors came from…I was a bit confused as I was looking for attack errors and wasn’t seeing alot, but I think they just added up. Cutino hit quit a few attack errors too.

You have to understand that this is volleyball, not politics. I am Filipino and a huge fan of their women's volleyball team. Despite the political conflicts between our country and them I still chose to respect and support them because they're Asians and I root for all the Asian Teams and to be honest there were a lot of Chinese supporters there too.
