It does make sense, when you realize that DST is just to ensure that most people can shop after work and also drive to/from work without it getting really dark or too bright depending on the season. In an area without DST, the time people have to get to work is constantly changing over the year. It's the ingredient that's also on the label of any product that has "natural flavoring." I'm sorry, Nate, but I hate vanilla flavor in ANYTHING, especially when I found out the flavor is made from Castoreum, which comes from a gland near a beaver's ANUS!! It's the ingredient that's also on the label of any product that has "natural flavoring." Castoreum has been traditionally used in Sweden for flavoring a variety of schnapps commonly referred to as "Bäverhojt," which means "beaver shout." I swear, if it didn't help honey production in apiaries, I'd say get rid of that stuff. The only reason we use it in food is because it's so cheap, whereas vanilla is one of the top two most expensive spices in the world. The other most expensive one being saffron.
I'd say strawberry ice cream is pink because all strawberry ice cream is just flavored vanilla ice cream, but if we want to get that technical, it's only pink because people think it's supposed to be. It's like how oranges are naturally more yellow than orange but are dyed orange because more customers will buy them.
