I love, love, LOVE this movie. I think its such a shame it got so much hate, from one side of people saying it's "cringe" and another side of people saying its "inappropriate for children" because there's a brief mention of periods, something natural that young girls have. Even though yes, it does have a lot of embarrassing moments, it is such a well-made movie and the story is genuinely great. Plus, I do think the psychology of it is interesting. I'm gonna enjoy watching this analysis! :)
Whaaaat? It got hate for mentioning periods? 🫠 are we seriously still there? At 13 I already had my period for 2 years! And it does "embarrassing" moments for a tween, for an adult they should be wonderful opportunities to normalise such behaviors and stop seeing them as "cringe". Thank you so much for being here, always Gaby. You really are my rock around here ❤️
@ oh you don't know? A bunch of adults were getting angry online because its "gross to teach children that" and "just because its natural doesn't mean we need to see it" etc. It was so unbearable to watch, and I felt bad because they missed out on a super good movie anyway. Plus, if we continue to view the natural progression of little girls and teenage girls growing up as "gross," it's only gonna cause more and more insecurity and shame for something that shouldn't be shameful at all. I don't know, I just think that whole rage was stupid. I'm glad it's over now.
I’m not sure how you go about picking movies to watch, but if you ever need a recommendation you should DEFINITELY look into Michell’s vs the Machines. It’s an animated movie that deals with family communication/miss communication and understanding different pov’s really well in my opinion. came out during the pandemic and Ive loved it ever sense:)
I also love how the movie has strong colour story tellings like when she is under the bed the whole scene is “red” aka more herself.
AH! That's an amazing detail I definitely didn't see!! 🩵
this is so underrated!! this deserves more views keeps up the good work :D
Thanks for not abandoning this series despite the likely TT ban. Hopefully have fewer issues here than before too
I will NEVER abandon this series 🩵 I'm starting to get the hang of it more, so maybe that helps. No long videos, that's for sure 🤣
