    This bouncer is by far the best bouncer ever!!! I’m a nanny for 4 little kids. The 2 youngest have used this bouncer, and both have loved it. It’s really simple, lightweight, portable, etc. It’s nice because it can do soft/gentle bounces, but it can also do “big” bounces. Both babies are screamers. They can and will scream for hours no matter what me or their parents do. The only way to calm them down is to put them in the baby Bjorne bouncer. It cradles them so well without being restricting, it reclines, the fabric is soft without being hot, and best of all the cover can easily come off to be cleaned. The downside is that it is pricey, but it’s sturdy and will last a lifetime and it doesn’t bounce very well on its own. It can bounce for a few seconds until it starts to slow down, so that means you have to sit by your baby and bounce them until they get a little older/heavier and they can make it bounce a little bit. I still love it because it’s better than having a baby screaming so much that they choke or having to literally run around the house doing squats while rocking them back and forth. I’m definitely going to buy this bouncer when I have my own kids. These babies are already giving me grey hairs and I’m only 21yo :)

      Sounds like those babies are a handful! I can't imagine the amount of work to be a nanny to 4 little kids. Your comments on the bouncer is spot on! So far at least that I know of have really liked the Bjorn bouncer for the quality and effectiveness in calming babies down.

    My in-laws just purchased this for us so we haven’t received it yet. I appreciate this review as it really helps! I saw a couple of other parents on TH-cam recommending it and it had good reviews on both Target & Amazon. I’m intrigued by the fact that my baby will be able to bounce herself, plus the fact that it is a very simple design. Looking forward to trying this out!

      @kevin-lu  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I’ve seen some of my friends more affordable ones like the fisher price ones. I didn’t use them too much though. The biggest draw for me for the babybjorn was that it was easy for the baby to bounce themselves, the quality, and that it lasts longer than the other ones. My son at 17 months still sits on it.

    Really enjoy your videos. Thanks for posting! You mentioned the lack of vibration in the comment below - do you think that's an important thing that's missing or can most people do without it? I keep seeing lots of bouncers with all sorts of vibrations/electronic swinging motions and just wondered if you really need all that? Thanks again.

    • @kevin-lu
      @kevin-lu  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think the lack vibration is necessarily bad. Without the vibration it encourages your child to bounce themselves a bit if they want to be bounced. Also without power less hassle of batteries or electronics going bad if left in storage (saving for next baby)

    Hi Kevin. Is there an alternative, more cost effective bouncer you recommend? Also would you recommend getting a swing and a bouncer or is one enough?

    • @kevin-lu
      @kevin-lu  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I have heard of the Baby Delight Go With Me Bouncer and Federer wise looks very similar. I haven’t personally used it before though. Another option is to check out Facebook Market. Sometimes you can get gently used ones or even just opened box ones for a good price. I think having just either a swing or bouncer is enough as they generally serve the same purpose.

    • @kevin-lu
      @kevin-lu  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I thought it was something to do with the difference in how the position feels for them, but there's some science behind it. Sounds crazy, but apparently goes all the way back to when humans lived in caves. The short story basically a standing parent holding a baby is ready to run/escape danger in an emergency. The studies measured heart rates of babies when held sitting and standing and standing when transitioning from sitting to standing the baby's heart rate had a rapid decrease.
