I worked for ten yeras in Dubai, and left in 2007, to go to Canada. Had a great time in the UAE. Sheikh Zayed was an amazing man, a true leader. By his own confession, he was illiterate, having studied only the Qoran in a madressah till class 4. But look what he acheived! Great respect to him.
Yes, you should go to Deira, have some chai by the Creek, and sit on an abra (water taxi) to cross over to the other side. Quite an experience. Happy travels!

Yeah it does looks hot in Dubai 😅 Like Vegas/LA vibes. There's a famous vloggers in Dubai named Khaled Al-Ameri, hope you could meet him. A friend of mine had stayed in Burj Khalifa before, in a room decked with everything gold. It does looks pretty awesome and posh. There's a very large group of expatriates and immigrants from all over the world working in Dubai, from what I've heard the food culture is quite extensive and a mix of everything. My brother in law used to have transit flights in Dubai where he would shopped like crazy for perfumes, clothings and gold jewellery to bring back home. Fun times.

There's actually places where everything is quite cheap 😅 Many Malaysian loves to shop in Dubai for non alcoholic perfumes, clothes and gold jewelleries. Gotta ask the locals for help next time.

The white cloth actually to protect them from heat and a traditional head gear.
Agree, all these tradtional clothes/outfits address heat and deserts. In olden days when they were camel riders those headgares protected them against direct sunlight , wind, dust of sand etc. To held the piece of cloth on head they used that ring around. After centuries and centuries this practice is part of entire arab peninsula. Now this is arab fashion and life style. Behind this fashion there was hot and harsh weather conditions

...A must visit in dubai is dubai museum in bur dubai. An abra ( water taxi ride ) ride. .to deira. ..and a walk in to the spice market. ..before walking to gold souk
For local authentic food ...u can try alfannar restaurant. ..or take a walk in bur dubai till the end to alfahidi street for some arabic delicacies .
Also a visit to alshandga heritage village a must ...to get the real feel of dubai.
Now....i missed DXB! I missed the chiku juice, 🥭 & 🥑🍯juice!!!🤤🤤 And all the modern malls/hotels, architecture, boat rides, spice bazaar, desert adventure etc 🤗😍

Hey guys before moving to Toronto in 2016 I lived in Dubai for almost 10 years. Here are few things to do like a "local or Emaaratii" term used for the Arabs from UAE. Eat the butter chicken at Al Ravi restaurant in Satwa, Dubai. Smoke sheesha, I choose QD's in Dubai. Visit 7 Emirates in 1 day by Car, either drive or get a private taxi, visit palm Jumeirah, Dubai. Visit old Dubai which is Abra, Dubai and take a boat ride to otherside of Dubai which is in Deira Dubai or vise versa Deira Dubai to But Dubai. A must visit at a Jumeirah restaurant to eat a fish 🐟 ....it's called Bu Qtair...this is a must visit place...visit Abu Dhabi Ferrari world
