I got to see Lovebites at both their London gigs earlier this year, and was completely blown away by Haruna's drumming. She maintained that pace throughout 90 minute concerts without any apparent effort. How this tiny Lady, and she IS tiny, I got to meet the band members after one of the gigs, is able to produce such power is a mystery to me. The whole band are every bit a good as you hope they will be. These Ladies do not disappoint. BTW, I'm old enough to have seen bands like Iron Maiden play back in the 1980's, and I was so happy to see all the Lovebites Ladies going to see them play in Japan, especially Fami wearing her Dad's old shirt. 🐺
From the the onset, these ladies have proven themselves to be unique and special. Although we lost Miho she will always be remembered, not only for being a founder member, but for her talent and skill as a great bassist. They were as good back then as they are now, and thank God for Fami, although her style of play is different from Miho, she has fitted in perfectly right away. They are a truly amazing and special group and I'm grateful for being able to witness them. Seen them live in London and they really are that good 🤘🎤🎸🥁🎹🐺
Ad Iron Maiden: All of them (and I mean all 6 = 5 + 1 members, although Miho with other people) visited Iron Maiden's last Japan show yesterday! And they got new merch, e.g. Fami went there with an old IM shirt, that her parents purchased 29 years ago. About time for a new shirt!
A friend thought that some of the drumming was backing tracks because Haruna's chill energy didn't match how other drummers would play that blizzard of notes. There are videos of Haruna playing in a studio. She really plays like that.

This would've been a great launch into their 2020 world tour. They got a few gigs in Japan, and then the pandemic and lockdown kicked in! I believe Lovebites was one of the few bands who really got hit by it, since they mainly do original material. Unlike Nemophila who began by doing covers by Kiss, Maiden, AC/DC, Linkin Park... which was spread to social groups covering these bands. I wish LB to grow and become more known, so maybe they should drop a few covers too, so they might tag into these fans too?

The creator and leader of LOVEBITES Miho, has said many times in interviews that IRON MAIDEN is one of her favorite bands, and Steve Harris is her idol, whom she wanted to be like (as a bass player). Miho and Steve Harris are acquainted, they met and talked at concerts of IRON MAIDEN and BRITISH LION. When Miho created LOVEBITES she wanted the music of her new band to be based on the music of the NWOBHM (IRON MAIDEN and other bands) with the addition of thrash metal. You are right, Haruna's performance is amazing, especially considering that she plays at such a tempo 1.5 - 2 hour concerts. Miho and Haruna are a great rhythm section, who were ideally suited to each other, felt each other and who had a lot of experience performing together in concerts, starting in 2012 (since the time of DESTROSE). As part of DESTROSE, Miho and Haruna performed in the US (in 2013 and in 2014)

Haruna at one point in the past had cracked/broken a cymbal. A friend took the cymbal and had it made into a star shape. The tradition has grown from there. Prost !
i remember seeing this mv in '19 when it first came out. they had always worn white but they unveiled these new outfits for this video. i was stunned by how beautiful they all looked and it also was a new style for midori with the blonde high ponytail and buff tanned physique. 5 exceptional ladies - the high priestesses of metal.
I so love those B&W samurai images. This song relates to the struggle they had to be the way they wanted (white formal dress etc) and to be taken seriously. At their live shows Asami usually announces it with "This is us!".
This is a great video from the band, but the LIVE version from 2021 is even more wicked!!!! Honestly, this group is a Bucket List item for any true music fans, especially Metal fans.
