See my comment above. One of the main things our team wants is in-ear monitors. I assured them we can set them up with this board. Can you do a video on the Qmix app, and is it possible to run sound through their cell phones over the network? Or is it just for control. I know that Presonus makes a Earmix ($500 per musician).
qmix is control only. I don't know of any IEM systems that run over a wireless network. That seems like it would cause severe delay in the transmission.
Hi. I love your videos. Just wanted to know is there a possibility of soloing a mic input with the fx on it. So let's say I have a mic going to a reverb and I want to listen to it in solo in my headphones but with the reverb how would I do that?
You would need to solo the input channel and the FX return, but if not using Solo In Place, the other input channels going to that reverb will still go there.
That setting is called "Solo in Place" which is great in the studio, but terrible in live sound. If you hit the Edit button over the Solo section, you can toggle that on/off with the touchscreen.
New Presonus are very nice looking consoles. Unfortunately they have a bed reputation after the previous series. Any way would be interesting to play with them and compare the sound quality with M32.
Depends if you have P16s and/or S16s or S32 digital snakes already. If you already have the Behringer/Midas preamps or monitor mixers, the Wing makes a lot of sense. If not, the price is pretty far away, and that needs to be considered too.
@@AttawayAudio thanks for the quick response. My church is looking to upgrade from the zoom L20 to ... Everyone is recommending the X32 as the next step up, but my mind set is to do one big upgrade and call it a day. I've dabbled with the X32 a few times for other churches. My biggest thing is effects and vocal tuning... I think the X32 effect set up is complicated for no reason.
@@AttawayAudio I have an x32 compact and an s32. I get confused looking at the output routing when wanting to route to an output not on the s32. For instance, if I needed to run front of house outputs from the outputs on the console and monitor outputs from the s32.
You can simply route your outputs to both your s32 outputs (probably AES A) and local XLR outputs (this tab is called XLR in the routing, if I remember correctly). If you then route your mix busses 1-6 to your outputs 1-6 and your Main LR to outputs 7-8, you can plug your monitors into 1-6 out in your s32 and your front of house into 7-8 in your console. Does that help? As James said there are plenty of videos if you search for X32 output routing.
I had the older version of PreSonus, me and the repair shop fought over who kept it more. it was finally junked, I never went back, maybe they have greatly improved their boards, but for me i am staying with analog, I now use a Allen & Heath Mix wiz version 4, freaking love it.
Hey brother! Can I connect 3 16.8 stageboxes? Can’t find anything in the maze that is presonus help.
I don't see why not. In the digital routing section, you can choose which unit shows up in which bank AFAIK.
@@AttawayAudio are you sure that you can solo the fx return on the console?
How do I turn off the mute all channels when I solo a channel?
That setting is called "Solo in Place" which is great in the studio, but terrible in live sound. If you hit the Edit button over the Solo section, you can toggle that on/off with the touchscreen.
Thank you!
Which digital console is best for live mixing sir
So many factors. Not an easy answer.
New Presonus are very nice looking consoles. Unfortunately they have a bed reputation after the previous series.
Any way would be interesting to play with them and compare the sound quality with M32.
A/B testing is on the wishlist for me too 😀
Good video that helps a lot thanks.
Soundcheck list link is broken
worked for me... ?
This or the Wing?
A video that would be extremely helpful for me would be about output routing on the x32.
Looks like there's a bunch of those already. What exactly do you need help with?
Brilliant. Many thanks
thanks bro
Thank You!!!!!!
You're welcome Peter!
Please am try and do more videos of this console for me sir
Turned off my notifications years ago....except for your channel.
lol thanks, I think 🤣
you look like that guy from succession lol
I had the older version of PreSonus, me and the repair shop fought over who kept it more. it was finally junked, I never went back, maybe they have greatly improved their boards, but for me i am staying with analog, I now use a Allen & Heath Mix wiz version 4, freaking love it. No more wondering about will it freeze up, or something else not going to function. Also it sounds much richer in sound, imho.
Yes, the previous version of the SL consoles left much to be desired. Glad you're enjoying your analog board!
Yeah. I learned the hard lesson also. If any gear is software/firmware dependent. You shouldn't buy it. Maybe years down the line digital consoles will become great. But for me, personally, it's strictly analog for me.
Are you guys being serious? Too funny.
