    Fantastic job! Novel way to latch the pieces together. Could use a pie rope to squeeze the halves together for latching (the more pie you eat, the more rope you need).

    I really like your bronze working videos. They are something that truly makes you stand out as a craftsman given the metals challenging characteristics, and your finished products are always candy to my eyes.

    Your armor work is so good. The two pieces mated perfectly. And those closures are so much more cool than straps. Again Rob, well done.

    Yooo that's epic man! I like that the motif goes all the way 'round the neck, and the wing(?) muscles on the back look awesome! Looking forward to seeing the greaves whenever you can get around to those!!

    Gotta get the suit done before events start up again. Trying to do the same with my first suit i'm making. Lost a bunch of time trying to get my brigandine going.

    Your're a fucking Legend, sir.
    Can't wait to see that whole armor set together, and the youtube algorithm should like that too. There is something really strange about that algorithm. The quality of your work and the filming are excellent, the subject is extremely popular, yet your videos are not popping off in views like they normally should, comparing to some other channels on metalworking and I don't understand why that is. Might be some minor detail that some algorith nerd could tell you about, that I think would be worth investigating. My gf works in that type of thing for her blog, and viral trafic usually comes from an outside source, like pinterest, tik tok , etc that redirects people in your channel. I'm a dumbass in that area, but I know this channel deserves a lot more subscribers, they just need to discover it ! Keep going, man, it'll pop off at one point

    Great work, eagerly waiting for the greaves and ofc the moment you put them all on. Have you given a thought to also making a weapon to go along with the armor and the shield?

    Great work as always. What music are you using for the background? I really enjoy it.

    • @ThakIronworks
      @ThakIronworks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a selection of music from www.audiohero.com that we have licensed for use in our videos. Maybe some day I will compile a list of the music we use and links for it as this is a fairly frequent question :)

    I wonder if a beginner to armor-smithing should even try to attempt this as a first project. Time will tell I suppose

    • @ThakIronworks
      @ThakIronworks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sure they could try... better to try something like a helmet or greaves first though. But if someone wants to improve they need to push beyond their comfort zone.

    Has any work been done on making real bronze copper and tin armour from one billet of bronze? Cool T-shirts by the way.

    I know it is functional and all but man is it a shame to slash a weapon against it... More so in ancient times when things were way more difficult to make... I would be the worst soldier ever 😂

  • @aleaciondehistoria

    The hinges are historically correct, it is a beautiful armor and a great job as a teacher, if you will allow me a humble advice, if it is not too late you should separate the part of the sternum out a little, the one with the bull, because if it is so sunken it can make a little uncomfortable, a greeting and excellent piece of art

    • @ThakIronworks
      @ThakIronworks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Your advice makes sense...I will look into doing that
