  • Luke 10:1-20 describes our Lord Jesus Christ sending seventy disciples ahead of Him to places where He wanted to go to fulfill the tasks given by His Father.
Our Lord gave a series of instructions regarding what they should observe and do in their journey representing Him. In this session we shall consider the significance of sending them two by two and asking them to pray to the Lord of the harvest to send more labourers. (Luke 10 : 1,2)
The summary of the lessons for us:
    * Every believer has a divine call on his life.
    * We are fit to be sent by God only at some level of maturity.
    * Our mission in being sent will be successful if we commit ourselves like Isaiah saying, Lord, here I am, send me".
    * Accepting one another and agreeing among one another is essential to fulfill the task given by God.
    * As seen in John 17:18, Christ has sent us, believers, into the world the same way as the Father has sent the Son into the world.
    * We all need to be serious minded and have a vision of our life's mission as ordained by God.
