I was once told a story of a snowboarded (unfamiliar with these terrain features) who straight lined a run, doing roughly 60 when he came over a small obscured lip, and straight into a rock face. They said his entire jaw was taken off, and vast amounts of blood had to be scooped up. He was dead when he arrived at hospital. Don’t do this, it’s dangerous for everybody
@@CaseyWillaxI have a GPS Garmin watch that tracked my speed at 58MPH when i was doing a top speed run, and I was going about the same pace as this guy so he's at highway speeds for sure 🙂

Its a bit different. Surfing is all about the back foot where snowboarding is both feet a lot of the time. You'd pick it up quickly but the learning curve will take a day or two

@@kylegonzalez5842 it’s more about the side cut than the length (chatter wise). Shaped skis chatter a lot more. 15-18 meter skis (most all mountain ish ones) are not any wear near as stable as 27-30 meter (gs skis). Obviously these skis are waaay harder to turn haha

From experience, being the one doing that, you always feel like you’re going a little faster than you actually are. Based on my educated guess, I say he hit about 55-57 mph but probably thought he was going 65-70 lol it’s actually kinda tough to hit a true 60 because of the wind drag. Unless you wear a speed body suit or something, which snowboarders don’t do lol
