Well done, great choice. I’m an ex GS rider who swapped for an RT, love it. Electric screen, central locking panniers and great weather protection, better low speed handling and both feet down easily etc etc. What a brilliant machine! Safe riding 👍
Good video. Had my RT1250 months now, really enjoying it. You’re right on the mirrors, they are the same width as panniers. Maps won’t work with Wi-Fi off, should ask to Join bike network if picking up home or other network when parked.
Congratulations on your new RT. I have had mine (2022 Racing Blue color) since 3/22 and thoroughly enjoyed last summer with it. Now put away for the Chicago area winter with 8000 miles on it. Spring cannot come fast enough. Ride safe.
Got mine over a year ago...7,000 miles 2022 R/T/// I don't like the vibrations in the bars, and it is way heavy for me...the electric windshield is top level, and the fuel mileage is good, over 320 miles on a tank...it's a nice motorcycle. Also, I do not like the Navigation system it sucks...but the horn is great!
I took delivery of a K1600GT (Same TFT screen) late October, mine stayed on 7 miles until the weather improved post Christmas, now up to 160 and hope to get out tomorrow for a decent ride. On the wifi thing I simply found I have had to connect the maps to the bike for the wifi connection, although the Bluetooth for everything else connects automatically. There are some idiosyncrasies for sure 👍🏻
Enjoy the new bike. I’ve got one on order for January so hopefully it’s on its way. I’m trading my K1600 gtl for it. However I have had 3 RTs previously, they give the best weather protection of any bike in my opinion. The mirrors actually provide a lot of wind protection on the hands too.

Thanks Illiya I am also looking forward to warmer weather, your -10 degrees makes me feel like I’m already in spring. Keep safe.

Thanks Andrew, this is my first RT and haven’t rode far yet but already know I’ve made the right choice. Enjoy your new RT.
