    Good video. Had my RT1250 months now, really enjoying it. You’re right on the mirrors, they are the same width as panniers. Maps won’t work with Wi-Fi off, should ask to Join bike network if picking up home or other network when parked.

    Got mine over a year ago...7,000 miles 2022 R/T/// I don't like the vibrations in the bars, and it is way heavy for me...the electric windshield is top level, and the fuel mileage is good, over 320 miles on a tank...it's a nice motorcycle. Also, I do not like the Navigation system it sucks...but the horn is great!

    Please please stay with me on this one, as I fully undersand the spirit of the statement. However its a bit of an oxymoron, given that we generally only position for safety, so what this popular phrase actually means is, give up 'potential' safety for 'actual' safety. Which leads one to question.. Why risk the 'potential' safety position (3) in first place, when you can have 'actual' safety in position 2.

    • @Nottsbiker
      @Nottsbiker ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Graham, maybe my title is miss leading and agree with your statement. I see so many adopt position 3 on every left bend rather then looking at all the information.

    I took delivery of a K1600GT (Same TFT screen) late October, mine stayed on 7 miles until the weather improved post Christmas, now up to 160 and hope to get out tomorrow for a decent ride. On the wifi thing I simply found I have had to connect the maps to the bike for the wifi connection, although the Bluetooth for everything else connects automatically. There are some idiosyncrasies for sure 👍🏻

    Enjoy the new bike. I’ve got one on order for January so hopefully it’s on its way. I’m trading my K1600 gtl for it. However I have had 3 RTs previously, they give the best weather protection of any bike in my opinion. The mirrors actually provide a lot of wind protection on the hands too.

    Man, I’ve felt just the same. And you know? It was the right decision for me! I’m glad that I took the step and shifted for the RT, after two GS’s, the 1200cc engine in 2018, and the 1250 in 2020. The bikes were perfect, and the only counter was their Heights . What did I lose? Nothing. I gained things. I still have the same glorious, torquy boxer engine that I value, and once that I don’t do serious off-road trails with non of these big maxi trails I gained the massive aerodynamic protection of the RT , the 790 cm height of the Seat and on top, a slightly sporty body position when riding, very comfortable for me and the pillion. The enormous digital screen works fine, not perfect, but fine, once that I don’t use often the navigation tool. The bike is superb on every type of asphalt road and even capable on some off road soft trails, like on gravel, goes well too knowing that it isn’t made for that kind of use , she still does it. This one, is a keeper. Congratulations man, you got this very right 👍🏻👍🏻 By the way, I subscribed the channel. Thanks
