    Love how at the 2nd stop the guard asked you where are you headed and your responded
    “3 kids “ and he said go ahead . Can’t stop laughing hilarious.

      Yeah man, I realized what he said after the fact. But honestly, it's smartest to just be dumb. If they can't communicate with you, they just want to be done with you. Tough to shake down someone who doesn't know what you're saying.

      Besides it taking 5 days, it was fairly easy. No hassles at the border or on the road. We stayed mostly on the cuotas (toll roads), and definitely did our driving during the day. I would do it again if need be.

  • @alexruiz2160

    • @intothewild6074
      @intothewild6074  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There were a lot of highways that were 2 lane, going both directions, but I never felt unsafe. If that's what you were asking...

    Thanks for the video. If you don't mind I ask, how much it cost roughly from the TIP, mexican auto insurance, gas and toll road, and airbnb during the trip for one way or both way? Can I buy the TIP and mexican auto insurance at the border. Have a blessed day.

    • @intothewild6074
      @intothewild6074  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The TIP is determined based on vehicle. Mine ended up being about 500 USD. Which is refundable, assuming you return your car back to the border before your TIP expires. Insurance for my suburban was about 300 USD for 6 months. Gas is about 4-5 a gallon, but they do it in liters and the tolls were about 80-100 USD the whole trip. You can get the TIP at the border like I did. I would recommend getting auto insurance prior, just tell them the day you will cross and it'll be active for you then :) Thanks for watching!

    So you were u driving on a tool road all the time ?
    And is the reason you went up that scary hill was because u got off the toll road ?

    • @intothewild6074
      @intothewild6074  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't remember if that road was a toll road or not, at one time it was for sure. But then yes, that turn up the hill was most definitely not a toll road. Stay on the toll roads as long as you can. But eventually you'll need to get off of them depending on your final destination.

    When you are in a trip in Mexico don't let your gas to be under half tank NEVER
