      Try some of our fancy Canadian beer brands like Nicklebrook, Barking squirrel, Toboggan breweries, Sawdust, Great lake breweries, Waterloo, Steamwhistle, etc... As an Australian I always hear the old “put another shrimp on the barbie” when someone is trying to impersonate an Aussie. It happens in real life and on tv. The truth is we don’t even call them shrimp. We call them prawns. And I have never seen anyone cook prawns on a BBQ. Although I am sure people do. Shrimp to us means small or tiny, like we might call a short person shrimp, but that is rare. We prefer beef steak, sausages, lamb, chicken, and onions on the BBQ. Also, I have never heard anyone successfully impersonate an Aussie accent. One guy on TH-cam came close. But we grow up with American tv and movies so a lot of us can do good American accents.

    • @CanadiansReact
      @CanadiansReact  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      hahaha totally. After living in Oz for 2 years and growing up with an Australian father I for sure can relate to the stereotypes. When I arrived in Oz in Dec 2014 I had my first Australian style Christmas and experienced what a seafood style Christmas looked like. Prawns are massive compared to what we call shrimp lol. Not to mention it was the first time I had to learn how to deconstruct a prawn. I'm used to the shrimp style where its already had its eyes removed. Needless to say that was the first and last time I attempted to take apart a prawn. Hahaha. Thanks for sharing Craig! -Adam

    • @ozzybloke-craig3690
      @ozzybloke-craig3690 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CanadiansReact hahaha that sounds awesome. I’ve never had a Seafood Christmas. Not big on seafood. So a shrimp is a smaller prawn that is already deshelled. I just thought shrimp meant prawn. And yes we have King Prawns and Tiger Prawns here. They are pretty big.
      Btw I noticed there is a family guy video with Canadian stereotypes. I would love to see you react to it. I am curious about what you guys think about Canadian stereotypes. I know a lot about America but not Canada. What I know about Canada mostly comes from American tv stereotypes, my friend in Canada that I used to Skype a long time ago, and also from the reputation that you guys are really nice people. I love Canadians just because of that reputation. And I realise that not all Canadians are nice. But when your stereotype is ‘they are nice’, that says a lot about you in general as a people. We should all be like that.

    This mostly applies to smaller states in general, but whenever people are like "there's nothing to do there". And it's like literally just type in "things to do in (state)" and you will find something. You can't be so much of an uninteresting person who can't entertain themselves for five minutes without a disneyland or broadway.
    Like here I'll do it right now for North Dakota, which is often regarded as America's most boring state. I don't live there and so this will show how easy it is.
    Already on the first site I see a ton of interesting museums, a state park, and some cultural centers. Then lets' just focus on Fargo. I see some local theater, a gaming bar, bunch of regular bars, some music centers, some sort of amusement park, and of course a zoo (because basically everywhere has a zoo).
    Like when people come to a smaller state and are like "there's nothing to do here" it just tells me they don't go outside and don't know how to google.

Most of the state is very rural and agricultural. Also 4 other metro areas of around a million people or more. We have the largest park of any kind in the lower 48 states. Florida and texas here. Florida was accurate. Texas not so much. Texas doesnt have much of the gun toting rancher type. At least not in Houston or Alvin. Houston is very similar to jacksonville Florida. Even down to the roads and foods. More mexican food in Texas. Florida is pretty close to how california was depicted, lots of bridges omg. The i10 and i95 and i295 areas have all kinds of loops and stuff. But there was plenty of rough areas too, which is why I thought the spaceshuttle thing was relatable.
