Let me know if you have any questions about the ZV-E1 and if there's anything you'd like to see me cover! Super excited about getting this camera even though it wasn't the one I originally wanted!
I sold the Fx30 for this camera, I LOVE IT. i have pair it with the new 24-50G and is so travel friendly. Buy a Ulanzi cooler its about 300 Dkk. But i have never had it overheat. Specially not in Denmark
A lot of people have recommended the coolers! I’ll probably get one if I ever run into overheating but so far I’ve had no issues at all 🙌🏻 It’s such a great camera!
@@AlexBjorstorp i have one, but never use it. But its good to have it. But try to buy the new version. The older version is good but it does not stay that well so i use a rubber.
Definitely sounds like a steal! Loving the camera so far, will be making a video on my first month with it very soon! I think it's one of the best "bang for your buck" cameras at the moment!
I have also bought the ZV-E1 and filmed a first client project last week. It did overheat once but I was filming in 4k 50p to be fair for a few good minutes in a row.. I have the Tilta cage and cooling fan on it. I haven’t used the fan during recordings, but the overheating orange symbol did came up before turning off completely after a few good minutes (maybe 10-15min before )… After that instance, I did use the fan on speed 1 during recordings and never had any issues.. However, that fan is a bit noisy for interviews recordings I think. Luckily I was filming some processes in a Lab and the ambient noise there was loud so I didn’t need clean audio this time.. So I’m on the fence about keeping it for too long.. I’ll definitely have to upgrade to a7siii or FX3 soon (FX3 though is way out of my buget too for now)..other than that, fantastic little beast of a camera..
For interviews 4k 25 should be perfectly fine and I think it has to be quite a long interview or very hot for it to overheat then? I've had no issues so far but I haven't shot any interviews yet and it's pretty cool here in NZ since it's winter, so I haven't been able to test how it performs in the heat yet. It's definitely a killer of a camera but as a client beast I can still see how it can struggle sometimes with longer shoots or in higher frame rates. The a7siii is a great choice but still no fan. The bigger body will make less overheating though but you lose out on some of the new featues and AF if that's important. It's a jungle to navigate all these cameras haha
I just ZVE1 as well with Tamron 20-40 mm. Can you make a video about how to customize the button and menu? I want quick access to Dynamic Stabilization, Crop mode, etc
I’ll be making a video very soon on my customisation. Just tested it out on a full 4-day shoot and it’s working well for me, so I’m almost ready to share how I’ve set it up for my needs 🙌🏻
I love my small ZVE1 too 😍 although I have the bigger FX6 👍🏻 and for holidays the ZVE1 with the old Sony 24-105 mm f4 is my actually favorite 👍🏻😉 best cinematic greetings from germany 🎥
Awesome man! The FX6 would be too big for what I do and so far the size of the ZV has been incredible! The 24-105 F4 is super vesatile, I can definitely see why that's a killer holiday setup!
I had the fx30 and sold it for zve1. I will go for the 7iv I also own the 7iv. I found the fx30 to noisie, but I shoot a lot where I cannot control the light.
I would’ve 100% gotten the FX3 if I had the money. Still stuck with some canon gear unfortunately and the plan is to get the FX3 or an updated version if they release one when I’m back in Europe! Then the ZV-E1 can either be the perfect B-Cam or be passed on to Gioya 😊 Thanks man! I think this one will perform just as well for now and then there’s a lot of potential for the future 🙌🏻
I think it’s around the same price everywhere but it was too much right now either way 😅 Always good to have something to look forward to and it’s really mainly the overheating that concerns me with the ZV-E1 but recording this video in one go for about 25 minutes at least was no trouble at all 😊
Megapixels is not what makes the quality great. If we talk photos, sure more resolution can give you more crop but in video lower megapixels mean much less noise in low light, which is exactly what I was after 😊 Also, 12MP is more than enough for social media photos anyway 🙌🏻
@@AlexBjorstorp That I did not know. I just associate low resolution with my phone camera, 12 MP. Those photos can't be cropped without loosing quality.
Makes sense, I didn’t either when I first saw 12MP cameras released but larger pixels (fewer) means less noise. And 4K video is always the same resolution no matter how many MP you have, it could be downsamples from 6K or 8K which in some instances give a clearer image but it’s not always the case as far as I understand. 12MP is all there’s needed for 4K video but you need more MP for 6K as an example 😊
@@Desuetusthe sensor size matters. Phones have such a small sensor which means smaller pixels and the pixels have less data, this leads to degradation. That’s why people still use real cameras or pro cameras for work and high end needs. Of course for personal use and posting on social media most modern phone do a great job… but it’s not apple to apples. 👍🏼

Just got a used ZVE1 for $1450 at BH no tax with payboo and it’s in perfect condition! It’s a steal at that price when the fx3 is 3900.

Great to hear. I love the Smalrig rig with silicone grip. It is really Great an good to hold.
Yeah, the grip is a little too small now - glad to hear that a great option! Thanks!

What lens did you use for this video. Great Content

For a split second I thought you have the FX6 for holidays 😂. Punctuations are important at times 😊.. You are lucky to have both though..

I’m considering getting the fx30. I think it best meets my needs. The zv-e1 has amazing features but I don’t think I could go back to one sd card slot
The FX30 is an amazing camera as well as far as I know! Did you ever have a card fail on you?

What lens did you end up going with?
The 24-70 F2.8 GM II - I'll make a video showing my full current setup (which is quite minimalistic now) 🙌🏻
Why did you choose zve1 over a7iv??
Because I was after the sensor from the FX3 and the second Dual Native ISO at 12800 😊
@@AlexBjorstorp ok that make sense. Did you choose it over fx30 due to the full frame? And last one . What lenses are you using with this beast
Exactly. I prefer full frame. I’m only shooting with the 24-70 F2.8 GM II so far
I was surprised you picked the ZV-E1 not the FX3, but i understand completely. I think it will suits you very well. Have fun with it!
