Nice! I tried your style of playing on my acoustic, but I can't get the right hand to do it yet. I'll need much more practice. The way you made your guitar is so amazing and inspiring that I'm planning to try it too!
I'm so glad! Go for it! My nylon acoustic was where this method of percussion all began. I just used a Schaller Oyster pickup, but any clip on piezo will work. If you want a guitar designed to pick up percussion from your fingers, the Cole Clark FL1 is best, but the new Ibanez Percussive acoustic range or their Acoustic Fingerstyle range are pretty great. Start out with a consistent kick using your middle or ring finger and just try plucking a single string on the beat and off the beat, then you can slowly get your index and thumb to pick alternatively and eventually you can do arpeggios with a steady beat. I found arpegios to be much easier than strumming and doing a beat, but ideally you would want to flutter your index finger while you strike the guitar with yoir middle finger. I wouldn't encourage you to drum on the neck like I do with my thumb ring because it scratches the guitar neck! But for me that was a small price to pay for a "snare" sound. If you have questions, I'm always around. Good luck and let me know how your journey goes!
Great idea! I'm planning to use a "fuzz" kind to my octaved guitar too, particularly a Source audio Multiwave bass (the Ultrawave for bass is SUPER awesome too!). Is more easy for me to find and afford it, because im interested in a Iron Ether FMeron and a WMD Geiger counter but that will be for another moment
I am really interested in the Ultrawave! That foldback distortion is so gnarly! The Multiwave looke a little easier to get to the sound you are after since everything is written out explicitly on the pedal 😄 and I'm sure it's more affordable. I'd still be tempted to save for the Ultrawave since the rubber dials on my old SA Manta Bass Filter have gotten sticky? And slimy? 😲 I think it's humid where I live 🤣 Always wanted the FMeron! But these things are cost prohibitive! And bringing rare pedals into South Africa is nearly impossible. I think Rainger FX makes some pretty Geiger Counter-like fuzzes with their "Bleep"? I'm happy with the Fuzz Factory when it comes to that... for now 😁
@@GreenhamGuitar The Multiwave is very simple, there is a version dedicated to bass too. I watched that problem of sticky rubber knobs on my used Multiwave, may be we have to change the knos for ones with other material. Ahh FMeron is not affordable? Buhh. The Rainger Bleep is awesome. Keep goin with the Fuzz factory, it's a very unique combination with your other pedals :)
@@shoseinen Thanks for saying so! I prefer harder sounds and styles since they disguise the fact I lack subtlety and nuance 🤣 The only thing I wanted more than the Ultrawave has been their C4 Synth. I think its main monophonic sounds would work so well with the OC-5 in lowest note mode... it could replace my SYB-5. Anyway, I think you can tell I am fanatical about bass 😅 I appreciate your info... the Bass Ultrawave might be the best fit for me if I came across one. Amazon delivers safely and reliably, to SA 🇿🇦, so one day.
Really f#ckin' cool setup man! GREAT JOB!!!
Wow! Thanks once again! This setup was one of my favourites. I'm sure I can try evolve it now 😁
THIS ROCKS 😤🤟🤟
This is awesome 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much! I think guitarist could always do with a few more dirty bass sounds 🤣
Cool stuff dude!!
Thanks a bunch! I'm enjoying these shorter showcases, which still explain what's happening.
Sounding awesome! Love the Fuzz Factory.

@@GreenhamGuitar Thanks for the detailed tips and your time, this was very nice of you :) I'm sure with enough practice I'll get the hang of it :)

@@GreenhamGuitar The C4 is a very interesting pedal, it can do some weird effects apart from the synths. The SYB5 sounds very nice too!
