The earliest VA ever gets dark is 5pm, so definitely a big adjustment! the UK is much further north than all states except Alaska, which is why I was ill prepared for the dark mornings

I’ve lived in Wisconsin all my life, and while I’m used to the amount of darkness, it’s hitting me like crazy this year. But I’ve implemented a morning and afternoon work break walk the last several months, and it’s been life changing. So much more energized, in a “I did something great for myself” way. definitely this side of the year is nice because it’s still cosy season and christmas is coming up, it’s January and February that can feel so depressing to me 😭 I’m a big early morning person as well but I do tend to sleep in a bit more during winter and that’s ok I think 😌 it’s good to move with your body’s energy, whilst also trying to maintain a routine. I live in Edinburgh and work from home so know the struggle! 💜
I live in south FL and I always try to explain I have opposite of typical seasonal depression. It’s 100 degrees and straight sunshine at least 7 months out of the yr and I don’t want to leave the house❤ I love the winter season and we always travel to cold and rainy places. Scotland is next year! 😊
6:42 maybe you can try smart blinds like the SwitchBot curtains. You can program them to open when your alarm goes off. It helps me so so much getting up in the morning.
you can also buy smart light bulbs (not sure if Philips hue lights are available in the UK) but you can program them to turn on so if you have them as the main light in your bedroom they’ll brighten up the room like a sunrise
You should check out the philips hue lightbulbs! They’re a little more expensive but they’re smart lights and you can time them so that your room gets bright just before your alarm. I love them
I get it boo. I moved from Norway to America. Culturally it’s so different. I’m originally from England and I just feel so unknown or lost here. I don’t know myself. But we trying. I know for me that when I learnt how to drive that really helped with my mental health. Maybe that’s something you can consider :) We got this booo! ❤️

I might startup candle making bc this seems like such a cozy activity! I also have to remind myself that I don’t need to be perfect at my hobbies 😅 love to know other people use random accents when doing projects too bc it drives my husband nuts that I do it 🤣
Hopefully not overstepping but regarding your health I had similar symptoms and did a bunch of tests which all came back negative. I was skeptical but ended up deciding to go to a functional medicine/ naturopathic doctor. If nothing else something to look into if you can’t find the answers you need. Mine really helped me!
AirPod Maxes are the worst! I tried to convince myself that I loved them, but they're so heavy and they get so dirty and are impossible to clean. Do yourself a favor and invest in something like Bose.
Not sure if you did, but let your wax cool down a bit before pouring into glasses (and yes don’t put them somewhere cold, let them dry at room temperature) That’s what causes them to be uneven, pull away from the glass, and have the holes! For soy wax I pour around 100 F degree, I’m not sure the recommended for beeswax! - A candlemaker
