A FYI about Star Wars shields: they hug the contours of the craft. Although that would probably be a difficult thing to model in Space Engineers. Maybe if the shield could detect the shape of the thing it is shielding and duplicate that shape and add 5% to the scale and protect that area? IDK if this is a thing that could be done. Bubble shields are a Star Trek/ many other si-fi shields thing. You can see a clear example of shields in Star Wars in the Phantom Menace when Anakin flies into the droid control ship. When his Naboo starfighter powers back up you can clearly see its shields when it takes a shot from droids in the bay. But again that would probably be quite hard to model in Space Engineers. I'm not a modder, just a nerd that likes Star Wars. And this mod is epic! I can't leave that out for all my poking at the not "lore accurate" shields!
Good job Imperial base in shooting the rogue engineer, Captain Shack. Er, um, I mean, enenra did some awesome work. Gwad it is so nice to see more SW brought in SE. Now we just need someone to add custom parts for the "Technical" of the SW universe. The Gozanti Cruiser. ^^
that kinda makes me want to see an N-1/ywing Ugly called the Naboo-boo with like 4 of the Y-wing nacelles and the cockpit off the Y-wing, complete with gunner's turret, but rigged as a N-1 turret, high and aft.
Only issue I see there is that Starfield ships need to have a walkable interior so a playable X-Wing or TIE would probably be out of the question. Even if you could get around that and just "Press R to go to the cockpit" it would cause issues with NPCs, certain quests and probably a bunch of other things. Though anything from a Razorcrest or even U-Wing should work. Hell Starfighters could probably be made to work as NPC only at least.

that mod looks amazing, hoping it gets you started on another space engineers campaign before xmas possibly, i do miss watching you and Tex play SE. (i think you have mentioned you stream it on twitch but i have limited time and live in Scotland, so catching you live is difficult and the majority of my watching comes from youtube). my current save on SE is drop pod on earth, the aim is to build a rocket to fly to space but not allowed to build flying vehicles other than to scout for things (more gliders as have a wing mod on than flying vehicle). at the moment me and my friends were last tunnelling through a cliff side and was about to make dumper trucks to transport the stone to process it back at base for its resources, it was a cool set, but, last i playe SE was febuary i think as we have been playing Factorio instead, my first save had 100 trains on the train set, this save is to get to 200 or 250 working trains on the train set and survive the biters. i would find it interesting and most likely watch if you did a Factorio campaign? be interesting what mods you would pick to run on it and what your overall objective would be in the world.
What I need in Space Engineers? Energy based weapons, tracks and realism in ship building, because its ridiculous when frigate is build around 5-8 rail-guns.

He can make a large landing gear and a hyper com relay system. If you build a station on a world you can communicate with its moon and if it’s in space it create a fast travel point. Capable of well making jump drives more efficient. Or you know a large scale reactor that generate a rediculas amounts of power requires a rare full found in moons and alien worlds. That if destroyed detonates.
Very excited to see Shack do an up to date Star Wars SE series in the future. It’s an itch that needs scratching!

The fact that you are more aerodynamic and faster when the wings are closed is not a game thing, it is actually canon for the X-Wing.
