I have absolutely no no mechanical aptitude but I love watching your videos. As I used to own a Puma I am loving what you are doing. Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much mate ! Glad you like the vids! We gota keep the puma alive ! 👍👍👍
Going very well 👍🏻
Thanks so much ! 👍👍👍
@@mec-tec as you said, best approach it by breaking the work down in sections! Been watching a guy “Mart’s garage” and a Ford 100E he was doing, and that required a lot of work/welding!
@@philipbunker146 deffo mate, il have to look up that channel thanks !
Hi metec, you are making good progress, it will be worth it in the end
Thanks so much yes i think its worth it ! 👍👍👍
Hi MEC - you're progressing really well - D

Great video mate really enjoyed it
Thanks so much! Really appreciate thhe support 👍👍👍
Looks better than original!
Thanks so much, i really appreciate the msg and support ! 👍👍👍
Shocked at the rot on this tbh, the blue oval upped their game in the 90s as regards corrosion protection, this must have slipped through the net 😮
Deffo mate, I think the mk4/5 fiestas and the pumas on the same platform still suffered a bit, when they started the mk6 fiesta things improved quite a bit 👍👍👍
Hi I think you are doi g a very good job and nice and neat it will be a decent cat when you finish it when your welding you find more rot but the garages will not be ripping you if mate loving these videos well done😂
Phil in stoke
Thanks mate, its starting to come together now 🤞🤞👍👍
Looking good!!..Hell I hope mines not that bad!!!!! I did the similar on my Mums K11 Micra rear, outer sill by way of practise for my Puma..Cut out corroded outer rear sill, inner strengthening sections needed cutting out and replacing.Rewelded good bits of the outer back on after.Once you boxed up that side you gotta do it all again on the NS!!!Stay strong....;)
Thanks mate, im hoping the n/s isnt as bad, i think because the arch had rusted bad on this side, it allowed moisture in to rot the sill, somehow the passenger side arch is not as rusted so i think the sill has survived better, good luck with your puma too 👍👍👍
Top job mate this is turning into a battle between you and the rust but so far I reckon you're winning . Subscribe costs nowt
Thanks so much mate ! I think im winning 😉😄👍👍👍
What about epic job done so professionally. All power to you. I’ve had my Puma for 10 years and keep it dry in the garage, but am dreading what will happen when I come across similar on mine as I have no skills whatsoever.
Thanks so much, unfortunatly my puma has mainly been outside the majority of the time but these repairs should see it good for a good while hopefully 🤞👍👍👍
Looking really good, The Puma and Cavalier are favourites of mine of your cars, are you sill hoping to move house ?
Thanks mate, glad you like the vids, yes we are still in the process of moving, just a waiting game atm 🙈👍👍
Good work.
Is there any solid box structure towards the rear boot floor that you could support the car on? Maybe spread the load using big fence posts/sleepers?
Hi, thanks ! There isnt much at te back of the car because the spare wheel cage is under the back, the towbar seems to be doing a good job though 👍👍👍
Is it possible to rest the body on a couple of wheels
