I have a Yamaha Classical and a Yamaha flamenco, my classical guitar collects dust unless I down tune it one step and play blues. Otherwise with my flamenco I play all kinds of genre's on it. I am learning Asturias and find my flamenco guitar is much easier to play than the classical on this piece as well as Malagueña. It is my go to for 90% of my music. My Laments I wrote sound better on the classical in the down tuned state.
It is possible that I wrote something wrong. I meant to say, that guitar can produce classical music and I like the sound of it. It still has some flamenco flavour to it's sound. It sounds interesting. Idk about golpeador being the only difference, flamenco guitars usually have lower action, consider fret buzz a feature, not a bug. Also they are braced differently by many factories and luthiers. Bracing pattern definitely should affect sound character, overtones, sustain, etc. Anyway you sound really good
Wonderful playing of beautiful music thank you. Daft question, you may as well ask can you play music on a guitar. But yes it worked. I watched all your video.
Just amazing! All of it! I play classical on my flamenco for years and I still wonder why classical guitars still exist😀 Maybe to make our lives more difficult with the higher action😅 Well done on the wonderful instruments too!
Monumental, majestic and inspiring as usual Sir. I have a weakness when trying to commit the longer concert pieces to memory...any advice? Muchisimas gracias...
Memory is my Achilles heel. If I’m not playing a piece like this just about every day, I will forget it completely…. Like a weird neurological memory wipe…. It’s always been that way for me. It’s the main reason I developed the ability to improvise. Now my friend Adam del Monte has the most incredible memory skills I know of. Adam is pure brilliance
playing classical guitar? 😂 You are the best non-gypsy gypsy.🤴 King, don't ask such simple questions. you are loved. I have been following you and admiring you since my childhood, king. Classical guitar passages seem like toys to you. I know you.
