I currently have black factory trims and looking if I can somehow install the chrome ones and then I see you doing the same but reverse. Why would you go from chrome to black?
I think chrome is more suitable on classic cars or saloon/limousine cars(7 series,S class etc) than a hatchback and i got rid off all the chrome,i had left just the boot badge that now i painted black.If you wanna have the factory chrome,you gonna have to remove the triangle shaped front and rear windows,the chrome is glued to the windows and i don't think is worth doing it,but is your choice.
No,the chrome trim that i removed it slides on doors.The triangle trim is glued to the windows and you can't remove it,you will have to wrap it on the car.
I know was not the best angle to film,but you slightly lift the trim on the end and then you slide it.If you get one out,you can easily figure out how it is.
@TheCarWorkshop i know the windows are glued, but is the chrome also glued to the window? They seem quite loose on the back, like they could come out if I insist a little. But I don't want to break them it cannot be done.
@@bogdanturlea1152 Don't force them,you gonna break them and you will have to get a new window.Do a quick search on Google and you will see that they don't come off without the windows.

@@yusufalagoz10 Yes,but you will have to wrap the triangle chrome on the car because are glued to the windows,you gonna have put it from two pieces of tape.
You gonna need a heat gun and a credit card to smooth the surface.,if you don't have one,you can use a hair dryer too.You can find plenty of tutorials on TH-cam how to wrap anything,just do a quick search.You should wait until summer when gets hot,is not the best weather to wrap stuff.

Did you have to put any glue etc when you reinstalled the chrome trims?

Iv watched this video 10000x and still dont understand how you took them of lol, did you just pick the corners out with a pry tool then slide it out?

You can use PlastiDip too.
Would this be the same method for a insignia?
Some chrome bits might remove the same,but i've seen some chrome trim is slightly different,act cautious.
What about the quarter back windows? How do they come out?
The triangle trim from front and rear windows are glued,they come off with the windows from what i read online,i wrapped them on the car.
