    Not trying to pat myself on the back or anything but when I go fishing I always pick up something, whether it's an old bait, cup, paper. I try to keep a small trash bag in my car just for that. People that are with me say, you didn't bring that. I say I know and continue. I'm doing it for the animals if nothing else... be an example.

      That’s perfect, Angela, just imagine if everyone did that, all the shorelines would be clean!! The Bass N Galls were required to pick up any trash they saw, floating in the lake during a tournament! Thanks!! God Bless! jimmy

      Spent a whole day cleaning up my local Gravel Pit. That I fished for years. I made $20.00 off the beer cans alone. People wonder why they put up gates...Because they trashed the place.
      And if you take your dog. Make sure to clean up all them bacon and hooks left laying around. I spent an hour getting one out of my dogs tongue. She never did that again....She passed away years ago.. Best dog I ever had for 11 years..

    I’d like to see a video on how to set up a bait caster reel. How do you cast smaller baits so easily ? Just a little flip and it goes a long way. How do you set it up to make a short cast, flipping ?
    I need a big heavy bait to cast it. I also have too many backlash’s and bird nests. Thank you Jimmy I love your videos and the way you teach fishing. Not many people teach. They just show you the fish they catch.

    Learned so much about bank fishing from Jimmy, The late Doug Hannon and Guido.... How I ended up with all them Berkley Flipping sticks in the 1980's...
    Light line fishing into the wind. How to present your bait. And how to slow fish.. And lost many a bait till I bought a Grumman 12' L1240 Jon Boat to get into them tight spots..Made the boat quit as mouse...Great times...

    I’m hoping Blaze rods are coming soon😄Wondering what’s your favorite Spinnerbait rod? Med/Hvy fast tip? I’ve picked up trash for over 40 years. I always carry a trash bag when fishing, sometimes I’m rewarded with fish, but it always looks better than when I arrived, I’ve found knives, landing nets, good lures and even money.🙂 Great bank fishing tips! Informational, as usual. In Texas though, brush and cacti abound on the shores of most lakes and if you decide to wade, use a life vest of some type.... preferably a USCG approved for your weight. At Canyon Lake above San Antonio, in some places , direct drop offs to 80' deep are the norm. However there are some areas you can wade out 60' into the lake before it drops off 40+'. Every year, swimmers have this problem and we lose 5 to 10 people to drowning. So, please, life vest. Thanks.

      Rip Rap are rocks along the bank, Ellen, around bridges, boat ramps and dams to keep the bank from eroding!! Most are about basketball size or a little larger. Excellent fishing because they are good cover for crawfish plus the algae that grows on them are food for shad. The shad attract bass, catfish and Crappie!!! There you go!! W. May God Bless! jimmy

    My question is,how do I stop myself from using certain baits that I'm no longer having luck with?I can throw spinners, crank baits,and things like that but after just a few casts,I keep replacing them with baits I used in the spring even though I'm still not catching anything.i haven't caught a fish in several months because of it

    • @TwinEagleRanch
      @TwinEagleRanch  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Since you haven’t caught any Jim a while, Jeff, it should be pretty easy for you to use different baits than you caught em in this spring! Tie you in a Spinnerbait and throw it
      An hour! If you don’t Catch any bass, change to a small deep diving crank. Throw it an hour. If you still haven’t caught any, throw a ned rig with a two or three inch end of a sinking worm on it! If you’re still not catching any, I’d think about Changing lakes! Lol. Seriously!! Thanks. RipRap is a shore protection system using big rocks to keep the bank from eroding!! Most rocks are about the size of a basketball and larger! The rocks provide great homes for crawfish, shad and bluegill. All of which attracts bass. RipRaps are great from the shore or fishing from a boat! Most boat ramps, dam areas and bridges have plenty of RioRap to fish!! Thanks, great question!! Godspeed! jimmy

      RipRap is shoreline protection made using pretty good size rocks, Jo Ann! It’s all man made! Most of these are basketball size rocks and larger! There is usually some around most boat ramps, bridges and dam areas! These big rocks attract crawfish, shad and bluegill, that the bass feed on!! Really good places to fish from the bank or a boat!!
