2 tips. Only put about a liter of media in at a time. It will save you when it becomes contaminated and get clumps. The Garnet will eat a hole in the cabinet in short order. Glass is slower but the cabinet will last forever.
Just one thing with those and that is the viewing screen material hazese up real quick like you've blasted it...Do they have replacement screens.?...You'll need some.
I do like the side access door better than a top hinged access. I use the glass but there are different grit sized too but overall not as aggressive as the others . Ok now your going to need a bigger compressor :) Lets get the misses out in the shop and do some decorative media blasting on glass , it's quite a popular craft for creative people .
without knowing what the underneath of the sandblasting cabinet is like - what if you drilled a hole into your bench and connected a length of tubing from the underneath of the cabinet through it which empties into a bucket lower down when you are wanting to change your media over - might save having to lug it over to the stand each time and more importantly save your back
Might have been prudent to mention the power output of your compressor as that looked rather unimpressive ! ive had far better results using a Pressure washer with sand blasting attachment !
Badgertronix The Link wont open on ios in the uk, wants me to download Google app to view which i already have so i have no clue what compressor you are using, I would need to fire up a laptop to see link and thats way too much effort 😂
Haha fair enough. 2.5hp, 185l/min FAD, 115 psi max, 40 litre tank. Tank is probably on the smaller end of the scale. I'll try and track down a sand blasting attachment for the pressure washer so I can do a comparison.
Badgertronix , I think you would have got better results with a bigger compressor but hey ho its what you have ! hopefully someone will send you a bigger one to test lol ! yes my pressure washers is a bit of a monster its 13hp Honda with 21litres a minute output think its around 3600psi or more im not sure, the attachment was only £35 and i used block paving sand, it need to be kept dry which is hard, The results were really good and quite quick ! probably do a whole underside of a car in a day ! They do Karacher Sand blaster attachments too, anyway love your channel im just a fussy scotsman 😂👍🏻
I hear ya. Certainly a bigger compressor would help, but this is the largest compressor that Supercheap do. I'm trying to show these tools honestly by showing results and feedback from people like you with different experiences is really useful. I'll let you know what I really think once I've finished the current projects 😂 cheers
Love the flag! Great video
Thanks for watching fellas. ToolPro and Supercheap make some great tools. Love your work

Awesome, thanks for the tips Terry. Definitely a learning curve on this one to get the best results
As long as your air compressor can keep up your going to love that blasting cabinet.
I have put it to good use already. You are right though, lots of air is essential
Oh that’s what they’re for!
I’ve only ever seen one used by a Canadian chap who keeps shoving beer cans in them!
LMAO
It's a Canadian multitool. I'm sure Steve will do a vid of the 100 uses of a sandblaster one of these days. Cheers Rob
Great piece of equipment to have in the shop and will come in handy on your project vehicles as you’ve mentioned. 😀👍
It will definitely come in handy! Lots of rust to deal with over the next few months. Cheerd Terry
Awesome piece of kit!
works really well! You're welcome to try it out. Cheers mate
Media blasting is very therapeutic!
It would be if the compressor didn't keep springing into life 😂
@@Badgertronix WHAT?????
Yeah ya switch from the lawn mower to the blaster in the winter.
Course Badger is going into summer.

VAS?
Taking your blasting cabinet to the bathroom is a real pain in the
cabinet.
Just one thing with those and that is the viewing screen material hazese up real quick like you've blasted it...Do they have replacement screens.?...You'll need some.
Hi Zig, good to know. It comes with a handful of replacement screens so should be good for a while. Cheers
Nice to have in the workshop! 👍
Really handy! Cheers

Easy access and plenty of room. Been on dates like that 😂 creative, decorative media blasting. Now that sounds like something different. Cheers buddy
look good mate nice job
Cheers mate
3 years on what do you think of the cabinet? Does it get any use. They seem really bulky.
It’s going to come handy in the next few projects mate... I hate sanding stuff 😁👍
I don't have much patience for sanding so hopefully it does the job. Cheers mate
Ohhh I could have such fun with that! Enjoy you lucky duck! :)
It will be getting plenty of work round here!

I've wall mounted the cabinet so I can drain it in situ and it doesn't take up bench space
nice chopped flag from mcm
Glass bead media more suited for aluminium carburettors etc
Thanks for the info
Hi, how long does the blast media last for?
Thanks it’s obviously a rubbish product you saved me a lot of $ I’ll got to hare and Forbes for a real unit cheers
I got an anvil like that only it's a lot bigger. It's kinda like a Whopper, it takes two2 hands to handle it.
That sounds like it has a better chance of stopping a roadrunner
@@Badgertronix You drop this one onna roadrunner and you'll have roadkill.
It's a good unit but supercheap does not stock parts and staff in Renmark south Australia are useless I have mine 4 years did a lot off work on cars
How are you going to fit your new projects in there?
Given how much rust is on the Holden, all the remaining good metal will fit in there quite easily! Cheers
I’d like one of those, but I’m not sure what I’d use it for hahahahah!
It has come in handy already. I'm sure you could find lots of things to blast, it is a very satisfying process
Might have been prudent to mention the power output of your compressor as that looked rather unimpressive ! ive had far better results using a Pressure washer with sand blasting attachment !
Compressor I used is linked in the description. Running at 100psi which is what the cabinet is rated for. Cheers
