- I'm out in Utah for the 2023 Red Bull Rampage. The highlight freeride mountain bike event of the year. On the digging rest day I went to ride a famous MTB ridge line trail called Kong, with Brendan Fairclough, Ben Deakin and Olly Wilkins, the Roll It crew!! The riding was insane with huge exposed drops and cliffs. I crashed, but got the sickest insta360 X3 POV footage. Enjoy the banter and riding footage.

My heart was in my mouth when you were riding the ridge line, I know the camera narrows the visual field ahead but OMG, to ride it the speeds you guys do is just mind blowing. Total respect to all who ride there, to me, we’ll it’s just NUUUUUUUUUUUUUTS, 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

100% respect for giving it another go, you'll get it next year. I'd recommend not trying to follow your bike off a cliff though, I'd rather lose my bike than end up in a broken pile next to it! Having said that I did break my foot riding into a wall a few weeks ago so I'm probably not qualified to give advice... I hope your wrist is okay. 👍
Honestly it is incredible that you boys are able to adapt to the desert coming from where you do.
For the folks that have only ridden on dirt in the forest it is really hard to describe how difficult and different riding in the desert is. It is the driest day of the season times 100 all year round. Loose over hard, the loose is very loose the hard is very hard. Breaking distance feels like it is doubled and a little too much on the front wheel with tuck it with no notice.
I went from PNW riding to Texas and felt like I needed to relearn how to bike.
Ye bro like in Aus we don’t really have super steep desert areas like Utah and shit so I don’t know from experience but I can tell how much more of a difference it is to Aussie bush or like forest tracks in Canada and Europe
Matt it's great seeing you ride insane stuff like Rampage, it's great seeing a pros perspective who isnt riding things like this regularly. Fair bloody play, and certainly no sorry needed 🤘

No need to feel bad or guilty at all mate. Compared to the guys riding Rampage this might feel very small, but you don't do this very often at all. So to go back to the place you had a nasty crash and try it again, is already a mighty victory. As long as you can keep going and keep trying, you'll be good mate. And I just want to say it's absolutely insane what you and the others do there man. It seems like you are having a well good time and I could never be near as good as you are. Flipping amazing man

I was 13 minutes in and noticed what an awesome view it was *LOL* way too stressful for me, red trails are my limit haha The Rampage guys are another breed for sure, huge respect.
