Oooh this is so satisfying! Honestly, I think my favorite part of getting a new polish is doing my swatch stick of it. >< Hehe
Me too! As soon as I order new polish i label all my sticks in preparation haha.
This was oddly relaxing to watch but I'm sure it was quite a task for you - 3 hours!!! I organize mine similarly, but I go from lightest to darkest and by finish - cream, shimmer, glitter and neon. I don't have nearly as many as you do though or I'd just sort by color.
My back was killing me after leaning over my table for so long! I wanted to go by finish like you but as soon as I started I realized that was going to tack on so much time so I immediately gave up hahaha. Some day I will tackle that though!
I used to have over 500 swatch sticks ordered by color but found myself not reaching for them ever. I have all my polishes on wall racks anyways so just found myself picking from the rack depending on my mood instead of the swatch sticks. Since your collection is in drawers this probably works better for you.
I can't wait for the day I can move somewhere with the space to display my collection! If I had that, I'd probably stop making the sticks too.

Yes, get organized! I checked my Amazon history and it looks like these (tinyurl.com/rtb5f252) are the larger rings. The smaller ones weren't available any more but these (tinyurl.com/skh3rx26) look similar and are the same diameter.

I sort kinda like you, in two ring sizes. I use the medium rings for the stinkskabe, and have them held together with medium or small rings. I sort by color and I have a separate ring collection for toppers and one for indies. It works so far with my 350 ish polishes.

I wanted to do this. I have over 600 bottles of Essie polishes. Right now there are alphabetical order in bins. I want to swatch stick them in color groups. I have the sticks. I just don't have time
On my rack I go by brand, subcategory, (thanks sally Hansen 😑) color, and then shade. But right now on my swatch sticks it's only brand and colo. Because my I Dymo ran out of tape.
How do you determine what 15 you put on the small rings? Any process or just trying to keep them in dark -> light

The large rings are 3" and the smaller ones are 1"

I think 1.25 will be even better actually! The 1" seems just a tad too small so 1.25 will give you a little extra room! I can fit around 15 sticks on the 1" before its just too hard to close.
@@MediocreManis Thank you! I am currently swatching my collection and was thinking what to do later. Since I am swatching by brand, I am using the rings to store them by brand. It's very practical and allows to rediscover your collection but sometimes I am thinking I want to wear a purple, or a pink. So I was thinking how to store them after I finish all my collection. I was thinking like to put all my yellows in a bin like the ones you can store brushes. But when I saw your idea with mini rings... I would have never thought about doing so. I love your idea because they are more organized and it doesn't make a big "fan of swatch sticks" and also I like the idea of regrouping colors. Like all my lilacs, all my lavenders, dark purples, red toned purples, etc. I told you in the past with the Excel sheet I like to over organize things so this would be very entertaining 😂. As you said in a recent video I would like to know how many similar (if not exact) shades I have. Maybe with this 1.25 I can put 20, also easier to count🤭
