My wife and I are actually thinking about selling off everything we own in Ontario and move to airdrie to start a new life in about 6months or less… we just don’t know where and how to start 😅
Traffic congestion is often equal to that of Calgary. Street development has NOT kept up with growth. Don't get me wrong , I like living in Airdrie, and also enjoyed Calgary, but feel like you left out some (major) 'gaps' in your info. And are not providing a full picture of the community.
Define better ? Calgary vs Airdrie. One city has more and more diversity of events, more restaurants, more parks, the central library, telus spark, Calgary zoo, bell music central library, many indoor and outdoor playgrounds, multiple large parks, the COP, book stores , a wide diversity of unique shops in inglewood and kensington, a skyline, pathways, multiple post secondary education options, easier commute (if you live in Calgary). The other you can get more square footage for your dollar and be surrounded by generic shops .

There are express busses or a direct bus, but having the LRT go out to Airdrie could honestly be decades away. It’s taken decades in conversations to get it to the North part of Calgary and it still hasn’t happened.

The lack of a hospital would be a big negative, especially in the winter....and for retirement aged
