We moved from Toronto to Airdrie April 2022 and we are loving the city. We were going to move to Calgary and then we’re introduced to Airdrie , watched your videos (which are very well done and with lots of relevant information) and decided 100% that Airdrie was our type of town! We couldn’t have made a better choice! Airdrie is so close to Calgary ! Love this city! ❤️❤️❤️
Bayside is a triumph of marketing. As a lifelong Airdrie area resident, I know that area as Slough View. Ditch in a few canals to handle that moisture and relabel it Bayside = prime real estate!
Great example of turning a negative into a positive! To your point, the canals are great for kayaking in the summer or skating in the winter, but they are not for swimming! Thanks for the comment Kathleen 😁
Southwinds can get pretty tight in areas, but there are some streets that are more open. Mattamy homes is one of the cheaper builders, you get a bit more bang for your buck but sometimes the quality isn't the best. New or used I'd suggest getting the home inspected by a local inspector. If it inspects well then you should be okay.
You'll definitely find A LOT of families with young kids in the Kings Heights/Ravenswood areas. There are a lot of young families everywhere in the city, but you'll find a higher concentration of them in the areas with newer starter homes. Areas like Kings Heights, Ravenswood, Windsong, Hillcrest, Reunion, etc..
Hi Brad, I am seeing lot of price fluctuations based on neighbourhood. I see prices in Reunion and Williamstown are higher than in other neighbourhoods for similar homes. Is there any specific reason?
Hey sorry somehow I missed this comment from a few months ago! There are a lot of factors that go into home prices. But people really do like the area in Williamstown & Reunion
@Mr.Auclair at the time Reunion was built, it was designed with the lowest density housing in the city. No multi-family units. Lots of young families and the edge of the city is much quieter.

Hey Brad. Nice video It would have been nice to see footage of the actual areas ( golf course, canals, neighbourhoods etc) with an Ariel drone rather then just stock footage from different places not in Airdrie. Just food for thought. Keep up the good work. Cheers
Hi Brad, for the locations listed in your video, would it also reflect the “rent ability”? Would these same neighbourhoods attract quality tenants quickly?
In a small city like Airdrie, it's going to depend more on the specific property than the neighbourhood for attracting quality tenants. You can attract quality tenants anywhere in the city, but the style of property definitely makes a difference.
I live in a neighborhood with several rentals. It is very depressing as renters do not care for the property they are renting. As well, in 4 years I have lived here, my next door neighbours are about to change for the fifth time. I hate rentals, I used to be a landlord, and any of our tenants who neglected yard work were reminded they were required to maintain the grass, water it, maintain weed control, keep the yard tidy, etc. Many of my neighbours who own their homes feel the same way. Please, if you buy an investment property, please ensure the lease includes expectations on the yard and outside of the home maintenance.
For semi-detached you’d be looking at around 400k on average I’d say. For townhouses on average you’d be low 300’s, but they range a lot from the high 200’s to high 300’s
Hillcrest is a good neighbourhood with newer homes & great access to the city of Calgary. Gotta watch for poor cell service sometimes in the area though.

I've lived on the south-west side for a while now, Prairie Springs, Windsong and Chinook Winds. Even the old part of town is beautiful. It's hard to pick one but Resource wise, I'd want to pick something central like Summer Hill
Have you told them about -30 and bitter wind . Fluctuation of weather changes. GUYS This is a sales tactic . Living in Airdrie is nice but lack of social life
