All that fruit is packed with sugars. Carbohydrates are vital to a well balanced diet. How you get them is the important bit. I eat loads of carbohydrates. Home made wholemeal bread. Potatoes. Pasta. Rice. Lentils. Fruit. Nuts. If you dont eat enough carbohydrates your body utilises protein to make up the difference. A waste of protein.

Kiwis are high in oxylates which can be problematic if you are oxylate sensitive or an easy absorber. Try eating it with some dairy to bind the oxylates to calcium. We have lost the food combining wisdom of our elders. Beet soup , or Borscht ( high oxylates) are eaten with sour cream. Indian spinach dishes were pften boiled first...the water discarded and eaten with paneer...an Indian cheese. Corn meal was traditionally treated in a lime bath to remove antinutrients. Now we slog down corn and wonder why our minerals are so low. Plants can be amazing medicine but they have their issues too.

I drink only black tea as a staple beverage, and have done so for many decades. I also drink a pint of milk per day and a pint or two of porter per week. Smoking and heavy drinking will undo the benefits of a good diet, but very moderate consumption of wine or porter will do no harm. While water is essential, drunk neat it contains none of the micronutrients found in tea. I'm 85 and could easily pass for 60, and go for a 4-mile jog once a week as well as plenty of walking. My diet is neither mediterranean nor conventional British, most people would regard it as rather peculiar, but it suits me and I do well on it. My recipe for good health is: never take any drug or medication that you dont urgently need, it follows that I am unvaxed. Cut out fried foods.

    Great news about Kiwi fruit.
I believe you need male and female trees to make kiwi fruit. Love the gold ones especially.
I do have Sencha Gold green tea which I feel like drinking every morning and I just got my favourite Royal Earl Grey tea.
My health is quite good as I eat healthy and exercise to prevent disease.
Sometimes I feel like black tea so much but I don t drink it on regular basis.
Maybe when people are sick can be used as medicine.
    Thank you both.

I know what you mean! there are so many good foods we should eat daily but if we liked them all and ate them all can you imagine how much weight we would put on! This is another great video and it's so helpful knowing which foods are so beneficial to our bodies, all we can really do is to eat very small amounts of each of the ones we feel our bodies need most depending on which types we like and which ones our individual bodies need, It's seems a far cheaper and a natural option , rather than buying supplements that are often in capsule form and which often containing far far less of the product per mg than is printed on the back of the pack!

@@leoniewright3306 Hello Leonie. I experimented a bit, and this is the recipe I settled on. Hope you like it! A word on the crème fraiche. This is a French style cream which is slightly cultured, like yoghurt, so it has a slight tang to the flavour. Regular cream also works in this recipe.
150 ml kiwifruit juice, from 8 or 9 fruits. Include a little of the soft pulp and some seeds, if desired.
      100 grams caster sugar
200 ml Greek style strained yoghurt. (10% fat, as a rule.)
150 ml crème fraiche, or regular cream. You could also use or 200 ml soured cream (also known as “smetana”) The fat content of soured cream is slightly lower, so you need a little more.
A drop or two green colouring.
Add sugar to the juice. Dissolve over heat. Simmer until a thickish syrup is formed. Allow to cool.
Fold the cream into the yoghurt
Add the kiwifruit syrup and mix it in, then the colouring if used.
Churn the mixture in the ice cream maker.
Finally, a book recommendation. This book explains the chemistry of ice cream making, as well as having lots of delicious recipes.
Old-Fashioned Homemade Ice Cream by Thomas R. Quinn
      Enjoy!
