    It truly is very simple: We are not lacking energy, we have as much as the next person. The difference is that the majority of our energy is wrapped up in perpetually reinforcing the core belief that we are unsafe.
    The ephiphany moment is when we realize that if we have the capacity to create and maintain such an extreme reality of insecurity then we most certainly have the ability to create one of safety. It's simply a matter of realizing we are infact safe but we've chosen (by way of a billion suble decisions every day) to live under the illusion that we are not safe. And then redirecting our energy into the learning and practice of mastering new habits that build a different reality of safety.
    Ps. To the person reading this who is suffering and down on yourself or wondering if you could ever really truly heal from this; no wonder you are exhausted- look at all you've been through! You have survived a kind of pressure day in and day out that would break most people! You are NOT weak, you are a the complete opposite- you are a freaking WARRIOR! If you have the strength to endure such incredible harship and still be going, you most certainly are strong enough to recover from this!

    This was so me. Working full-time and training for triathlons. Run, bike or swim before work, an hour at the gym at lunch. (I had a great job). And then so called bricks in the weekends where you first bike and then run.
    Loved it!
    3 yrs. ago it all came to a halt.
    The first 2 years I went down the rabbit hole of chasing EBV (Epstein Barr virus).
    Oh....I also spend $25k on all kinds of therapies, IV drips (high dose Vit. C and Ozone). Bought an ozone generator.
    I retired early, cause it was just too hard. Although I was working from home and doing the bare minimum.
    My tribike, is still waiting patiently in the garage for my return.

    • @cfsrecovery
      @cfsrecovery  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow, it's like you were living life to the fullest with all that training! It's tough when health throws us a curveball. Remember, take things slow and focus on your well-being. Your bike will be there when you're ready. Stay positive and take care! 🚴‍♂️💪

    • @cfsrecovery
      @cfsrecovery  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I feel you completely. Working that much can eventually wear anyone down and affect your well-being. It's important to prioritize self-care and create a healthy work-life balance to avoid burnout and maintain our overall health. Taking time for rest and relaxation is essential for our physical and mental well-being.

    When you talk about the CBT & GET programne you did in Melbourne last year, was that Toby Morrisons CFS Health programne??

    • @sheridanbeverley9173
      @sheridanbeverley9173 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's possible she was referring to either the Active Health Clinic or the Zebras program which is or was a part of Upwell Health. As far as I know, CFS Health hasn't been based in Melbourne for quite a few years because Toby moved up north and CFS Health is based online.
