Converting let's you sell the lich to other players. You also get the ephemera if the lich had one
You can get the ephemera from vanquishing it too. It is useful for selling it but anyone who is trying to sell it would need a 55% for the element. People who are just starting liches will not find this useful, unless they don't want any kuva or tenet weapons which is unlikely. Kuva and tenet weapons will help people at this stage in the game greatly

One of my friends commented on how My first converted lich (kuva lich) wants to break my tenno hip bones in bed, while the second converted lich (Tenet) was a Tsundere and then remained a Tsundere when i converted her.

@@mrfancyshmancy Yes, lv up command aspect on railjack far enough lich will be available as a crew member. but they will only defend. (can't use any railjack equipment) but that lets the human crew members to focus on healing ship and gunning if you solo
@@mrfancyshmancymuch like @soggybrownpanda said, a decent lich can take the pressure off of the human crewmates, allowing them to focus on gunnery, engineering and even piloting if you need them to, in general its good to have atleast ONE lich defender on board. You can also summon them to any node by making it your "on call" crewman. They function like a regular converted lich drop in but much more reliable.

@mrfancyshmancy they can be used for railjack, but they're completely worthless there. The point in converting is to trade them to a other player. Selling weapons with a high % (54+) and/or an ephemera will be a great chunk of plat for new players

Yup! You can have him in your crew but I feel like that's only useful after you have all of the weapons
They honestly suck as a crew member I've had a full cewof liches and they couldn't survive the first boarding party haven't used them since.

It's not a tenet or kuva lich. It's a lich or a sister, full things would be a kuva lich and a sister of parvos. Kuva lich's drop kuva weapons and sisters of parvos drop tenet weapons. Please do not name them random things. It makes it harder for some people to look them up.
And feel free to convert some of the lich's, some of them have unique voice lines compared to others and if you upgrade your railjack eventually, you unlock the ability to summon one of your crew members to missions for 5 minutes with a 10-minute cooldown and you can unlock the ability to use your sisters of parvos or your kuva lich's as the summon.
I converted one of mine a long time ago just out of curiosity of what it did. The lich has saved my butt more times than i can count lol. It usually appears for me when me and my team are downing repeatedly or staying a critical health for long periods of time.
My lich has saved my ass more times than I can count so i would recommend converting at least 1 lich.
Convert only if you're planning on selling them for their weapon or ephemera
Its not completely useless to convert the lich. if you get one of the railjack stats up you can summon the lich in missions like a permanent specter. however, i do agree that generally the weapon and pet are better to have. I guess just convert 1 lich that you want as your permanent homie
That's how I think of this. Converting can be good for people who have all of the weapons from the kuva lich or tenet lich and want to make plat. You can spawn it in and it will be a very strong ally but still, getting the weapon is what's worth it for those just starting on liches.

I got the funniest lunch character in the game. I love when he come into help. You can call in your much to help you in any mission which can be very helpful
Converting is definitely not useless. Everyone should convert one lich, at least. Crewmate, and help in a tricky situation. If one has an ephemera, you keep the ephemera even after converting and trading the lich away. That's free plat, even more plat for funny names or high valance bonus. There are always people who pay to skip the grind.

Converting the lich is not useless. You can put the lich or sister on your ship and if you have enough rank in a thing for your railjack, you'll be able to summon that sister or lich from your railjack. It is to be noted you need to assign that lich/sister on call. You can do it for the other members on your railjack, but it's better for you to use the lich or sister since they keep their abilities.
You can put the lich as a rail Jack crew member and have it as the on call member. You can then summon it every mission
Converting lets you use it as a railjack crewmember and makes it tradeable, which is usefull if you don't want or allready have the weapon they would give.
Conversion allows you to sell the lich to other players. Normally people will only buy lich with ephem for obvious reasons, but if they look cool you may be able to fetch a higher price
Umm you can get some really cool liches if you convert them. Also maxing out the crew stat on your rail jack let's you summon your lich in any mission.
For someone like me who has hunted over 30 liches (not including sisters), converting is usually left for selling or keeping ones you like.
Not everyone wants to farm all the kuva weapons, and it's hell to get all the MR exp from them. Also you can sell ephemera liches even with small weapon %

It entirely depends on personality for me. If they're an asshole or they take my archon shard or something im taking them out, but if they're silly or like in one case, when i confronted him he litetally begged for his life, I'm converting them instead
Converting it lets you share ephemera and help teammates get sertain loot good if you and a friend trying to level up kuva.
Also lets em spawn into a mission not allways but it is appreciated like a friendly stalker
You can also put the lich on your railjack and make it your on call member to bring it to you without dying

Maybe, but if you did what I did and vanquished, I got my Arca Plasmor which is by far my best gun minus the tenet glaxion I got. Basically soloing profit taker and exploiter with that thing and it's not even maxed yet. I think converting should wait until you're weapons are finished personally, but to each their own :)
You should convert a lich if you know you can make plat of of it, or if you think it's chill as hell. Converting also doesn't clog up your foundry with hounds if you have been doing sisters of parvos.
This is wrong if you convert liches you can sell them for good amounts of plat depending on weapon and % also they can be railjack crew members
I convert 'em so i can give them to my friends who don't have the time to hunt for the weapon they want. Converting is never literally "useless"
You can also use it as crew for your ship
I have a lich as my free ship summon companion. I use him almost every mission even if it's just to cover me while I take a bathroom break. Also he has a 58% kuva zarr that I didn't need because mine is maxed from fusion. And he is a crewmate that clears my rail jack anytime I get boarded. Also i sold a lot of liches that had good weapons and ephemeras
my vanquish thought process:
-50%+ element weapon
-"hell yeah this builds gonna go crazy"
-Converts anyways after hearing the final words
Not everyone has a weak account and NEEDS to kill. Convert to get ephemera and sell is not "useless." And get Seeker Volley on your railjack ffs.
I didn't convert one so I had an absolute unit running def on rail jack until I had crew to hold their own. Plus they looked great.
My first Lich was a silly little guy so i let him live.
If you have on call you can eventually call him like a specter after a while. It's super strong.
You can have the Lich as the on call crewmate to help you in non proxima missions. Not particularly useful, but could help take damage off of your back.
If you don't care for the weapon, convert. If you do care, kill
Kuva Weapon = Lich
Tenet Weapon = Sister
I convert most of the time, the only time I don't is when I need the weapon to fuse it into another of the same weapon. I own all the ephemeras and so thats why I convert my lichs so someone can buy it off me. I sell mine for 100p and depending on weather the weapon has a great percentage then I'll sell for more.
That’s exactly when you should convert. If you have everything and only can make the weapons better than you can convert often and just get a good chunk of plat
Converting the lich allows you to add it to your railjack crew and you can set it as your on-call crewman to summon during missions for free
Converting makes it treadable so tou can make some plat over it
It can also be used as railjack crew if you want, but its not the best

It's not completely useless. I'm kind of guy who max out the kuva/tenet innate element. If I consecutively get two 25% in a row, I try to look for a 40-60% bonus on market. I want more people to be selling as it would reduce the significant amount of time require to max those weapons out.
Also I've never, once in my lifetime, got a ephemera from a lich or sister on my own. So it's a good thing that I can buy specifically a lich or sister that I want.
If people stop selling them, the supply will be lower than demand making them unnecessarily expensive.
My liches love and serve me why not feel like a King of my Dojo.

Not good for people started to do this. If you’re going for the Kuva Nukor for example, just started a Lich. You did convert because you don’t know what it means, and now you don’t have that weapon you don’t a lot of time getting. Converting is only good for people who have a lot in the game, who just want platinum

Bruh that video is such a bad advice. First of all you can sell a lich or sister for plat if it has an ephemera, 2nd you don't only get them for random spawns during a mission, you can keep them as crew members on your railjack and rhey defend quite well with the right weapons.

I wouldnt recommend having a firm standing on this kinda thing, I really think you should look at the positives of converting a lich/sister.
Trading for plat is the most obvious, but also sharing with a friend the ephemera, my friend and I always share our liches/sisters if they have an ephemera that the other does not have, cutting down our farming by a whole lot.
This opinion of "never convert a lich/sister it is useless" just seems short sighted.
Incorrect, converting the lich lwts you trade ot to other players and with the right intrinsics unlocked in railjack you can summon them at will
Convert a lich that has a lot of resistances and immunities. You can. Call them into your mission as a specter. I have 3 that I mess around with and they are really tanky and do great work as support. I have a Bramma lich, Shildeg Lich and a Hinde Lich. If you converting a lich, make sure they make it to the Kuva fortress for maximum power. You can also put those liches as members of your railjack team as defenders against boarding teams, which they are pretty good at dealing with.

Lich has unique personalities, some areost rare personalities, like a Yandere Lich or Parvos Sister, it has low drop to spawn.
Converting may save them, or if you have strong lich ability, he or she may be useful for you, Vanquishing them may be too overkill

It's not too good for beginners. This could've been worded that way, but this has brought a lot of views so I guess this worked. But, this short was just saying that if you don't have all of the weapons you want, there really isn't a good reason to keep them. If you need a lich to survive I would feel like you should then look at your builds or wait until you get better mods or utility.

Disagree. Even towards "new" players, a cool lich comes before any weapon. Whether it's masked, has symmetrical legs, a fun name, a cool syandana, an ephemera or got to rank 5 (intentional if keeping it and it has an AoE weapon), all of these are better than getting a weapon. The only debate would come if it's a full 60%. Your suggestion is intended not towards new players, but to players with no regard for cosmetics, uninterested in the market or too busy to engage in it, or simply fast completionists. There's a whole lich market because of their usability in Railjack missions, Crew Call gear, and simply for collectors. Even if syndicate crew members can outperform them. A cosmetically appealing lich is far more useful, even as a sale, than a simple weapon that you'll very likely need to farm at least twice to max out, plus invest 5 forma to fully get its mastery points. I suggest next time you emphasize or warn people about stuff, do more research or do it unbiased. If it doesn't fit a short, clickbait all you need but invite them to a full vid explanation. It helps your channel too. 🥳 If a new player is looking for their lich or sister's weapon, because they like it or for its mastery points, they should vanquish. But if they like its design, they definitely should enrage them to rank 5 and convert them to keep them around (they spawn as your ally with a higher level at rank 5). Also, liches are only tradeable once. Kind regards :)

Incomplete misleading information. If you get a level five Lich which is at the Kuva Fortress it has all four abilities and It makes a pretty good Railjack defender.
Put converted lich or sister to on call crew. I have a sister of parvos with tenet arca plasmor and a lich with kuva zarr. And if i will b close to dying they jump out or i can call them anytime.
This video feels misleading. You're prompting new players to only vanquish while saying that there's no good reason to convert. Lots of people will take your opinion at face value and do so when there's lots of nuance on whether you want to kill or keep your liches due to features not mentioned in this video

Fire plus viral is a great combination. Converting is only good for plat, that’s if you have a good roll. Nobody wants it if it’s a bad roll on your status. Plus, the on call function isn’t that useful.
LR4 and 10 year veteran here. ALWAYS convert a ephemera lich. You still get the ephemera when converting and you can sell the ephemera on average 100p.
If you convert it you could sell stop saying stupid stuff
