      LOL that's just scratching the surface of how incompetent Cleveland's management was.
      -They let Carlos Boozer walk even though he was a RESTRICTED free agent and all they had to do to keep him was match Utah's initial offer. Boozer goes on to be consistent 20 and 10 guy for Utah.
      -Shitty drafts year in year out.
      -They signed an injury prone Larry Hughes (who of course got hurt)
      -The best #2 they could come up with was Mo Williams who had NEVER made an all-star team before playing with Lebron.
      Also this was BEFORE Dan Gilbert started opening up the checkbook, he was a notorious cheap ass during Lebron's first tour there.
      And people wonder why Lebron became such a control freak his second stint in Cleveland.

      I point this series out to every fool saying "LeBron could've done more" or "he just stat padded against the Spurs" in this past finals.
      So what happened in this series? Dude was a point and a couple rebounds/assists from averaging 40/10/10 and they were a miracle 3 (from LeBron in game 2) from being knocked out in 5 games vs. ORL in 2009.
      LeBron does GOAT level shit (in victory or defeat) and haters still convince themselves the loses are all on LeBron.

    • @Amjbmcg
      @Amjbmcg 10 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      ***** Take LeBron's TRB% and AST% compare it to Bird's career TRB% and Magic's career AST% - LeBron would have avg 35/10/11 for the entire 09 playoffs.
      Confusing -
      Bird = 13.9% TRB for 10.3 REBOUNDS PER GAME
      Magic = 42.2% AST for 12.3 ASSISTS PER GAME
      LeBron = 14.2% for 9.3 PER GAME but if he had the same amount of opportunities in Bird's avg career game, it would have been around 10.5 PER GAME - Bird 13.9% = 10.3 and LeBron 14.2% for 9.3??? Bird had more opportunities in his AVG GAME? If LeBron had the same = 10.5 per game? Get it? Hard to explain and a random fact.
      LeBron = 39.5% AST for 7.3 per game! ONLY 7.3 .. Magic could assist on 42.2% for 12+ a game.
      Magic's PER GAME are inflated due to better teammates, high FG% era (both meaning more shots IN = more ASSIST OPPORTUNITIES).
      LeBron's 39.5% with the assist opportunities Magic had in his AVG game = 11 a game.
      So confusing, or not, dunno what you think.

    • @TyroneNBAFan
      @TyroneNBAFan 10 ปีที่แล้ว +34

      ***** I think you nailed it pretty much.
      Magic/Bird had better teammates in an era that was easier to score in.
      Also LeBron was a higher volume scorer than both, so he assisted less and rebounded less (rebounded less than Bird, more than Magic).
      Bird/Magic play at a much higher PACE than LeBron has as well.
      That's why I always say it would be a blood bath if you dropped 2009 LeBron into the 80s.
      Imagine him playing with more possessions, in an open court/free flowing transition situation with fewer athletes on the perimeter to defend him? No defenses loading up on him?
      He'd rape the 80s. He'd come really, really close to a triple double some seasons with over 30+ points in many. His numbers would be Oscar like.

      Ik. People hate on him. He wouldn't have gotten a ring until like 2015 if he stood in Cleveland. And it's now 2016 and he has 3 rings. So the move was great. If he has like a star player, not a superstar but just a star. Like who I mean AI was out of his prime but he would've fit with the cavs cos Lebron could find him open and if Lebron was getting tired with ball handling than AI would do it cos even doe he was like out of his prime he was still a good PG or SG but he would've prolly played SG actually cos MO Williams was a good PG. and AI would fit better at SG ok that squad. But I fell that Lebron could've got a ring with him. And then when AI contract got done than they could've like traded on draft night to get like D.Cousins which would've prolly been a superstar in his second year because of Lebron and then got lma few rings. And then pick up like Wade on the cavs nigga would be like 5-0 right now if this happened.

      If they were lucky during the draft this is how it would end up like... starting with the 2004 NBA draft
      2004 NBA draft: Cavs could have picked Tony Allen, but they took Luke Jackson
      2005 NBA draft: no pick
      2006: NBA Draft: they took shannon brown and daniel gibson and thats the only good ones tbh
      2007 NBA Draft: no pick
      2008 nba draft: they could have took Serge Ibaka, they took J. J. Hickson, t
      2009 nba draft: they took Danny Green and Christian Enya and that all tbh
      2010 NBA draft: no pick
      And so they could have ended up with two additions in Serge Ibaka and Tony Allen through the draft... I think that's some talent to help LeBron don't you?

    This series changed the NBA forever and nobody talks about it. LeBron was on a warpath at his peak, 35ppg on great shooting from midrange and 9reb per game. The only thing stopping Kobe and LeBron from finally meeting in the finals was the Magic shooting better than Curry and the Warriors. That's it. They shot so well from deep than he literally could not outscore them, and they never replicated it again.

      Dominic Lostitch there’s no way Zyundris Illagowskis would’ve beat Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum in the paint. I’m sure Lebron would’ve put work on Odom and Ariza but both those guys were great at offense especially from shooting from the outside. No one would be defending Derek Fisher and he’d be making 3s for days. And obviously no one is guarding Kobe unless it’s Lebron and there’s no way Lebron would be able to keep up guarding Kobe (in terms of locking him up) and still trying to maintain 40 points. Lakers would win in an easy sweep because they almost swept that magic team and shut down Howard offensively the whole series. Plus that lakers bench was severely underrated

    I remember this series well. LeBron was putting on a performance for the ages, Dwight put himself on the big stage with his play, the Magic supporting cast couldn't miss, and the Cavs supporting cast was subpar. Too bad this series will forever be tainted by the Magic being on HGH.

    How can anyone hate lebron after watching a performance like this? He was so spectacular, the team probably got lazy thinking King James would clean everything up, so they barely worked for it. This guy had to make so many clutch plays to make up fire whatever the Hell it was that the rest of his team was doing.
    What a wasted performance. If only he had one all star on that team....

    I feel bad for Lebron, I personally think Kobe is the greatest and mj is second, and Lebron 3rd. But I Dunno man, when I think of Lebron and how he's wasted many years not having a superstar with him, and still went far, makes me wonder if maybe he's the greatest.
    I mean Jordan has pippen and rodman.
    Kobe had Shaq.
    Makes me wonder that's all. Because now Lebron finally gets a star like wade., bam wins 2 out of 4.
    And then gets Kyrie. And then the one year Kyrie was healthy they beat golden state.
    And it took golden state to make a super team to beat Lebron 2 in a row. So just makes me wonder if maybe Lebron would have more chips if he had a star to play with a majority of his career.

    If the Cavs were able to acquire Amar'e Stoudemire like they were intending to do... this team would have easily 3-peated, LeBron would have never left Cleveland, and the Celtics Big 3 would have never got their ring. It would have completely changed the direction of the NBA.

    • @CrysisOwnsHalo
      @CrysisOwnsHalo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@X02Overdose Are you shitting me right now?? Antawn Jamison was nowhere near the player Amar'e Stoudemire was in his prime. Antawn was an above average role player at his best, at best; Amar'e was an absolute wrecking force underneath the basket when he had a talented distributor in Nash (much like LeBron is) & was considered the premiere pick-and-roll PF between 2005 & 2011 (Dirk, Duncan, & Garnett were better players, but Dirk was more of a shooter, Duncan was a traditional post-up & great two-way PF, & Garnett was a hybrid who specialized in defense). In other words, he was a legit superstar during that time frame when the Cavs & Suns were talking about a deal to trade him; Antawn never was.
