I´ve just got the software, but besides I have a rtx 2080 nvidia card, 32 MB on ram and an 8700k intel processor, when render a single frame, I get the no memory error message and the computer just crashed, windows system not recovery. Any Idea why ?. I test it with the Utopia 3d model release for the CGarchitect utopia challenge.
I've noticed the same on my end too. It's why I mentioned that the software doesn't seem yet to be completely suitable for production quality renders. Question: Is your scene an interior one? If so, do you have window treatments with translucency?
It looks like the new release 1.8.1 doesn't have that problem, at least I always render with 30 passes or at most 60 to 100 passes when depth of field is activated, just for perfectly smooth results, and it never flickers. I started a month ago with Vantage, I didn't know about it before, so I didn't tested earlier versions. Since I discovered Vantage, I didn't use CPU rendering anymore, seriously for me the CPU rendering is quite a thing of the past.
thx for de video, what video card are you using?
Geforce 1080 Ti
@@archvizninja5823 hi thank you for the video, don't you think that the quality will improve with an RTX? this is what they say... cheers!
@@marcodido6562 indeed
@@archvizninja5823 Pls i wanna ask, is it GTX or GT ?
@@adetibakayode1332 when i recorded this I was using a 1080 Ti, not gtx
Can we make it use gpu+cpu in rendering or only gpu?

Try to export .Vrscene not opening directly from max
I rendered my scene with 350 samples, but I still get the weird noise , it flickers.

@@archvizninja5823 I do have the same problem. It happened in my interior project and it just didn't go away no matter what I do.......
It looks like the old GI flicker that V-Ray used to give in earlier versions years ago. It could also be a denoising artifact.

ok interesting, but why is it so slow when walking around? do you have a potato graphics card or does the scene need optimization for that?
A combination of both a non-native RTX card and highly unoptimized scene.
1080ti?
Shame this wasn't demonstrated with an RTX card - I thought that is what this is all about ?
hello, thank you for the helpful video. Does this mean it doesnt work if i have a Quadro P4000 ?
Thank you! The software does require a card with RTX capability.
@@archvizninja5823 Well but the gtx 1080 doesnt support rtx.. am i wrong? rtx was introduced with the 2000 line of geforce cards..
@@tomschuelke7955 indeed, not natively. It is enabled though through software/drivers, but performance is far inferior than the native rtx cards.
Did you know that you can export direct to MP4 instead of PNG?
Indeed. Thx.
