It’s crazy to think that they mentioned the gravity group shuttle coaster after all this time, along with ideas from other manufacturers. I wish parks would be more open about their plans to the public like this.
As a Kings Island homer, I take pride knowing she started at KI, much like the popular Jeff Siebert. The people who worked with her way back then say only good things.
Honestly I’d get emotional too, this park is trying to do good and it’s paying off, they’re listening to their guest and they show that they care and it’s honestly really nice
I got a ride on it this morning (the first passholder preview day was April 20), and I thought it was pretty good. I think the zero-g is my favorite part; that's nice and floaty, like Ryan said. It's not my favorite dive, but it's one of the more photogenic ones I've seen. It's a nice fit for that part of the park. (I also noticed the Hercules poster in the shop; really nice throwback.)
What great interviews. The coaster and everything was nice, but getting the park GM and one of the creative talents on camera really made this video special. Jessica seems like she really knows what will make the park the best and is taking the visitors into account in her decisions. Clayton really researched the local area and steel mills and built that into the new area of the park. I think that is really awesome. I only wish he was better prepared when he gave his speech at the beginning of the video as he stumbled through written content he was reading directly from.
I’m thrilled that Dorney not only managed to add such an impressive coaster, but that they also managed to keep Possessed AND retheme the area around it. This means as of now, Six Flags America still holds the record for longest time a US theme park hasn’t added a new coaster.
Before seeing this comment, I immediately thought of Six Flags America as a comparison park. Since they are getting rid of whistlestop park, I could see a new coaster going there. But a few years ago, the park admitted that they don’t have the budget to RMC Roar, so who knows if they will ever get a major investment
@@Commanders2022 I wonder what changed there for that to be put off the table. I also don’t understand why they removed Whistlestop in the first place, but whatever. Either way, at this point I’d be fine with a new family coaster. I don’t even care for an RMC. Just put steel on Roar. At least it will be smoother.
You’ll feel better if you get on one. Super exhilarating. I was obsessed before I even rode one and had an internal battle about being scared of them. You got this and I hope you get to join in the feeling.
@@lisatom42 ain’t no way bro. I had a similar thing when i tried to do mako. I even threatened myself with small punishments like not using my phone when I get home. But I got sick and threw up so I couldn’t go.
They are fun wouldn't recommend an SLC as starter to overcome your fear though. I hear there are couple of vekoma junior bomerangs coming to the states those are excellent starter rides. Just try something something smooth if you go on your more thrilling coasters also depending on what you fear the most try to avoid that one for the first extreme one. Fear just makes the rides more fun god i wish i could still feel it. But do something first you at least feel you can handle cause fear is nice but if it turns into panick its not. So a relative short ride at first and rembember the more thrilling ones do make your hart pump faster thats not fear but what you are suppose to feel (a lot people make that mistake. Just keep breathing and you be fine). Damm you gonna feel so giddy the first time after you have done a real thrilling one.
I agree, I feel like if they weren't going to get rid of possessed they probably would have went with GCI. But ultimately I think the dive closer stuff the best option to get more guests in the park.
It’s weird that the two new dive coasters with a shuffle are this and dr Diabolical, because they’re the only ones with 7 across seating so maybe they are a little to wide for the track or something, because the track for the 8 across ones is like twice as wide
I haven’t been to Dorney Park (which was my home park) in like 10 yrs. I used to go there all the time. After watching this the coaster reminds me of Griffon in BG Williamsburg especially with that pause at the top of the drop!
Dorney went a good route with another sit down B&M in their park. They needed something new and as it may not be crazy, it's really good for this spot.
Now that dorney has theirs..let's hope n pray..were next ..we're wayyyy over due for a coaster... period 💯👌👌.. hashtag vf invert for 26''....👀👀👀😄😄😄..but with vf at dorney.. that should be a good sign..only time will tell...💯💯
Wow their GM is amazing. Great instincts. Why remove a coaster to build another when you can have two coasters! And Clayton did a great job with storytelling and theming!
Looks like a very nice coaster is it close to Emperor cause that one is pretty good. Also the theming looks extremly good for that park. Lets hope the grenery around it fill in soon that should finish it. O i won't be in the neighbourhood for a year and a half so that should be fine when i arrive.
You know Dorney's on brand with the haunted derelict steel mill theme when their ribbon-cutting is *BOLTCUTTERS ON A CHAIN.* They understood the assignment. A++ 👏👏👏 And that depression-era station theming with the *"Idle Hands Are The Devil's Tools"* sign does Hadestown better than Hadestown. Their cast better head over to ride it ASAP #WaitForMeImComing
And here i am at Kennywood dealing with 9 and a half minute dispatches for their giant discovery, 10 minute dispatches for racer, and one train ops on phantom and sky rocket. I have a great home park 💀
I’m really curious to see how the ride performs as the season goes on. Many early riders have all noted that in the final turn around there’s a bit of a jolt and some roughness. Wonder if this is something that Dorney will address during the off season
Hi Taylor and Sarah, thanks for responding to my previous comment. I would like to know how you get invited to these media events at these parks. I only have a channel with 4,554 subscribers.
I really enjoyed the interviews at the end of the video. Do you guys think that big jolt at the end will ultimately cause B&M to re-profile that final turn?
I was actually wondering if you guys know why they wouldn't hold the opening ceremony the first day the general public can ride which is park previews april 27th? and just let the media ride without a opening ceremony so they can get straight to on ride filming?
I'm really curious how things work between a client and a manufacturer once a coaster is created if it's not what they were expecting or there's 'jolts'. Did B&M sign off on the jolt? Surely someone from B&M sat on it? Did cedar fair think it was fine to keep the jolt in? Kinda like Mine Blower. Did someone just sign off on that after the park probably paid a few million and said 'yh, enjoy that' 😂
I mean this ride looks great don’t get me wrong but imagine a full layout GCI titan track coaster at Dorney man that would’ve been crazy maybe that might be their next coaster potentially🤔
If I were Dorney I would not be pleased about it. I hope whatever the issue is gets addressed as soon as possible (which very well might be next off-season)
Does this video have a pink tint for anyone else? My phone it's fine on my TV it's pink BUT I've been watching a bunch of other videos and only this & one other recent CoasterStudios video has a strong pink hue. Trying to figure out if it's me or if they boosted the saturation and made the skin tones crazy 😅

We color grade our videos on a monitor that is designed to give the footage a certain look- but this doesn't always turn out depending on which platform you view the video on. We do not purposefully incorporate pink hues into our videos but it could be some undertones that really come out on your television

Dorney is over 5hrs from BGW, and 7 from Cedar Point and Canada’s Wonderland. Remember most people are not enthusiasts and travel great distances for parks
Lmao! North East, Midwest, whatever floats your boat. Bottom line is Mr. Corporate Park Guy is making it sound like they added a new never before seen ride experience, but you can get a better one 5 hours away and two more 7 hours away. People, families, NOT enthusiasts travel those distances on a regular basis. Spin it to make yourself feel better any way you want, my point is still valid. Agree to disagree.
Hahah coaster looks fine. But big MEH on the area. WTF is that? Better than nothing, I reckon, but kind of feel if you're going to bother with theming, midaswell put some effort into it. Theming budget couldn't have been more than like $100k. On a $20-30 million coaster probably. The presentation was nice though. Opening the gates to the coaster coming down. Cool interviews too. She's right B&M dives are the GP's favorite and to keep Possessed. Did they put in some nice, shaded seating areas around the coaster for families waiting for others to get off the ride? Props to Jessica for wanting to keep Possessed as that’s a Geauga Lake survivor and impulse coasters are fun.

It looks quite neat for a Cedar Fair park. It ain't Baron theming wise, but what they did looks legit good for an Amusementpark standpoint.

Dorney still needs a Headliner. Perhaps a multi launch where Dinosaurs Alive once was. Everything then would be complete.
