I visited a friend's house in Shenyang and can 100% confirm the "eating at home" one. There were 3 adults and two children, and there was enough food to feed 40 people.

absolutely not, i think both northern and southen italian women have traits of both the chinese girls: a bit of "sheltered princess complex" because of how protected by our fathers we are and a bit of badass attitue because of the anger caused by living in a socety where "you're a woman so you shouldn't bla bla bla". I know many girls from all over italy and i don't see such a strong difference. If i had to pick one, i'd say i'm more like the northern chinese. The only thing i see just a bit more in souhtern people (man and women) is jealousy and possessivness in relationship but that's all.

I find it fun to think about parallels between Asian and European cultures. The further north you go the more rugged the people; like I always thought of the Mongols as the Vikings of Asia. Then the further south you go the more festive and laid back the people i.e. Mediterranean (Spain/Italy) = SE Asia (Thailand/Philippines)
I believe the northern Chinese and Koreans are east Europeans of Asia. The Mongols have created this connection . southern chinese Shanghai to Hong Kong and northern Vietnamese are the west Europeans because they of the seas . And the really more southern Khmer, Siam the Indonesians and the Philippines are the south Europeans . Japan is basically the only Northern European country Germany/UK

Calm down the comment section. I'm a south Chinese girl and I'm gonna say: What the video shows is the typical and stereotyped impression of southern and northern Chinese girls. But the fact is, people are different in different little districts. And you may only or hardly found one or two of the stereotypes in one when you meet a real southern/ northern Chinese girl. If you really meet a all in one person, It would be the most stupid girl from China for how could she grown up without thinking what she should or shouldn't take. The reality is like, the southern girl maybe reliant, polite and gentle outside, but independent and mighty inside. They just used to be gentle outside since the education told them to be like that feminine since very young. Just take a look at the amplifying model: the Shanghai women with Shanghai men. I saw some comments was like "oh the northern girls are capable but the southern girl blabla". If the southern girls are really that weak or some sort of stupid how Shanghai men and other southern Chinese men can be so well-known submissive and regardful? The same, northern girls are not behave totally like the video shows to you. They may more irritable than south but not that much like the video which shows they are irritable suddenly without thinking and communicating. Just take It as a stereotyped video. @@maogu1999 everyone speaks mandarin in China and maybe plus a dialect in their region if they haven't lost it. You won't have problem getting around with Mandarin in HK either though Cantonese is more prominent still. That is slowly changing as well.

That's NOT sure... Most Chinese girls are like girls all over the world. We are a mixture of both feminine side and a tough side. About drinking, it depends. In the past, people from the North drank heavily because it was cold out there and they didn't have better ways to stay warm. Today girls drink because they enjoy drinking or they are socializing... The geographic reason is diminishing in the issue.
