There isn't much that sounds better than a full Novitec exhaust on a V12 Ferrari, however it's also my daily driver and I wanted to find a balance in the middle.
Yes they do offer a few options including a valve controlled system but in my garage I'm lucky to have a few cars of various volumes and I wanted to keep this with the original system

I think the reason Ferrari stopped the door from opening any further is to allow you to actually hold the door and close it. Otherwise it might be too far of a reach for most people as well as it prevents the door from opening up on to camber roads and hitting the pavement/ other cars.

I think you should fit a full performance exhaust system Tim. You will still have the valve controller to soften it in long journeys. V12 engines won't be around for much longer. So rather make the most of that glorious V12 sound.
Did you miss the part where he said he can close the valves with a remote control, which makes it just as quiet as stock. (Actually quieter on average because when the values are closed, they can't be opened unless you push the button.)
Love this Tim, V12 at its finest. If this is your daily, I feel that your AMG GTR will be a bit underused. To help out, I am happy to put some heat in the tyres for you every so often, keep it clean etc, bung me the keys and I can get started

Ferrari should make this a standard installation. The car sounds so much better! I think its crazy that the door will not open very far! I’d guess that this car will be bought by older often large men who will struggle to squeeze into it! Was the FF like this too? You frequently speak fondly of your FF, & I’m sure I’m not alone in wondering how the Lusso compares to the FF from a practical driving it daily, point of view. Like many past V12 four-seaters the FF is falling in price, & represents a potential good value purchase. I accept that there will be performance differences and I’m only referring to the 4-wheel drive models of Lusso. Could you discuss this topic, please?

Love it, sounds beautiful. did you look at the mod DMS did? I think it was on the LussoT, but amongst other things I believe they managed to recalibrate the valves so that with the mannetino in sport they stayed open and with it in comfort they stayed closed.
