The Constitution is clear - equal rights for all - so if l wants to open a similar type of shop l must comply to all the legislation and by-laws. This the problem is that people were allowed to just by-pass all of this over the past 30 years.

Umona 1st and foremost.People should learn from those foreigners how to run businesses. The foreigners don't come with the land to set the buildings they sell from.Think before it's late.

@@xnxo7237😂 foreigners that fake South African goods and sell them to locals . We will never do that to our own . Focus on your country and watch us rebuild the ANC ruins

@ first you must understand the background we blacks use to own this and when democracy took over after 5 to 7 years we saw this coming.you can not compete with someone who is funded.if our government funded us we would have keep up with them

@@SabeloTaswell you didn't have to keep up. all you had to do is be loyal to your own, instead you did what South Africans do and that is betray each other economically.

when you buy documents and grow wings of arrogance because you think South Africa is a sweet spot, you end up saying things like this puntoco...business is competition when you have followed all the laws applicable. you problem is arrogance and that's why your loud arrogance is going to be met with a force the likes you've never seen. you would be wise to remember that unlike you, mr competition, south Africans never ran from their struggle.

Well, difference between South Africans and foreigners when it comes to running spaza shops is that there is barely any cooperation with south africans when compared to foreigners. Foreigners help each other and you can clearly see that they look out for each other, which is why their shops are successful. The sad thing with this is that even if you want to start a spaza shop as a south african you find that there are already innumerable spaza shops around which pose a huge competition. Another sad thing is that even those foreign shops that have employees mostly employ foreigners from mozambique and zimbabwe.

let me give you some context and a bit of perspective. in Orlando East, where my great grand parents have their house, we had a spaza shop in our street, we had a mini chain on the following street to our left and a bakery on our right which was also a mini supermarket. up the street was a supermarket bigger than all the aforementioned and down the main taxi road was another mini supermarket. Guess what? all these businesses thrived. which innumerable scenario are you referring to and in what area? people will always buy regardless of who's selling if there is no loyalty to the core.
