I'd also like to add that I currently have 2 paintings I made by following along with your videos. I loved then so much they are on little easels on my desk and I sent pictures to all my friends. My husband really likes them, too, and says we should frame them. I made them slightly larger with a wider bottom border so they look like Polaroid pictures. Thank you so much for making these videos! Yours and Lindsey the Frugal Crafter's videos get me creating and give me confidence that I can build my skillset 😊
I love how happy you sound, not just when you're excited but when you are just painting in general. You are so happy and it's clear from you're voice that you love painting. That makes me hugely happy Ellen, I just feel your joy like it's a part of me. Thank you for posting this beautiful video. God bless you. Greetings from a fan in South Wales. UK
One of the things I love to do with these mini things is paint it as a mini first and then take a bit larger to a 6 x 4.5 version and then every now and then i take it out larger.
Love the meadow scene in fall colors. And I especially love the miniature size. :) Mini Monday is awesome! Don't apologize for squealing. There's nothing wrong with enjoying and appreciating your own work. When something comes out as I envisioned it or even better, I do the same thing. Can't help it. 😀
I posted this on Liron Yanconsky's channel so I thought I'd post it here since your channel is the inspiration: 1 23 Hi! I'm still a newbie to watercolor and my plan for the rest of the year, but also works for the October challenge, is to do the Mini Monday paintings from Ellen Crimi-Trent. She's got around 50? mini works around 3x3 inches. My plan is to go from one until the most recent one and then start at the beginning again to see how I've improved. I'm hoping to do one per day as her videos are less than 30 minutes so I believe I can make time for this practice. I think this will help build my skills because I won't have to execute my own concept based on the prompts of a specific challenge, but rather follow along and learn how to manipulate the brush and paints. I'd also like to do a similar challenge focusing on a limited palette to build skills on color mixing and tones and values. This is also an opportunity to practice on better quality paper as a 3x3 square is less intimidating and I'm less critical about "wasting" them on "mistakes." I have a little storage box filled with precut squares of cold, hot, and rough Arches, Strathmore 500 series cold and hot, and Fabriano cold and hot. When I find spare time I grab a piece and have a random play or follow a video. Thank you for sharing this alternative to those who want to stay out of the drama. I'm hoping to participate with the actual prompts challenge next year. I hope you have a fun and creative October! 😀
I had to laugh, I do the same thing when something is coming along good, I get all happy like a child, like another poster said my husband laughs at me too, he's glad to see me happy. I find your videos very helpful and inspirational. I have done botanicals and florals and animals in watercolor for years, but I'm not so good at landscapes, and I want to be. Just today I went to a beautiful mountain view near where I live, the colors at where I was were amazing, all the beautiful fall colors! I was disappointed at the results. I try too hard but your technique is simpler than what I have been trying to do and I now feel like I can do fall trees too! Yay!💃🤸♀️🖌🎨💖 Thank you, Linda ( vangogo) . P.s. sorry for the long reply.

I do the same thing when I am excited about how something that I create turns out well. I squeal "So cute!" My husband just laughs at me.
Love that!
Bravo
