This piece is a refutation of Rite of Spring. Starting with sounds from Rite of Spring, this piece imagines the “Chosen One” refusing to dance herself to death, and instead going on to have a full life, playing ragtime, serial music, hip-hop and klezmer, and more. How would the 20th century have sounded if women had written more of the music?
