This is really a bummer because even though the resolution was simple, most people don't have the troubleshooting ability to address an issue like this. They would, most likely, wind up losing their rig for a month+ to have it resolved at a dealer, under warranty. You showed this in your video (good on you!) but it's worth emphasizing to anyone dealing with the same issue...ALWAYS disconnect the solar array from the charge controller BEFORE you work on the connection to the battery. When panels are connected and sending power and the battery connection is interrupted, that could result in permanently frying the charge controller. Glad you got your problem resolved!
Yes, you're exactly right. We had to have a faulty fridge replaced under warranty right after buying our first Grand Design. The dealer had it for over a month, zero communication from them, messages went unanswered. I'm in the process of upgrading the solar and electrical. One of the updates will be a solar disconnect switch so that I don't have to go to the roof to disable the solar panels.
