    My great aunt is looking for a fireplace like this, and I would love to try and build this for her. Just wished I had all the exact measurements and a list of everything you used (as in the brick material) so I can purchase the materials. Great job!

    I think you did an awesome job on the prep work.
    I have my own tile installation company and not a lot of people have the foresight to lay out the ledger and base their fireplace off of that.

    I love how it looks. Could you give me the dimensions you used. I'm trying to replicate this in my house and mount the TV on the wall. Thanks buddy! That’s what I was going for. Actually we put a 65 inch TV mounted to the wall and it Was good spacing wouldn’t want to go much bigger, Atjon but then again it depends on the height of the ceilings

    How his floor handle the install? Did you attach the boards or glue the boards? This is because vinyl or laminated floor should not have anything nailed, screwed in or glue because of the expansion that need to occur, by doing so you can void warranty. Floor might buckle up close by the area. The job is amazing!!!! Just those details.

And I want to ask you the following: could you tell me the exact measurement of your electric fireplace? And one more thing, the width, height and depth of the structure? This way I get a more precise idea. Thank you very much, I look forward to your response soon. greetings from Spain!

  • @savage_deadlift6842

    So wait.. you can use construction adhesive with regular ledger panels on plywood? So why does everyone say you have to use mortar and Sheetrock? If I can do this then it would save me so much time..let me know if this lasts or if this is ok to do

    • @theboss7209
      @theboss7209  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mortar works well when you are doing a whole wall and need them to tack on to keep working, I did a layer at a time and took a break in between, it might actually be quicker to mortar depending on the project. Also there’s no grout like tile or moisture concerns so plywood is fine

      According to others who did job says if you will use a real stone then better option is concrete boards or subfloor boards. If you will use a fake stone, veneers stone, then you can use lighter material boxing fireplace.

      @@GhettoGatesss hey alex stop being a pos bully your whole life and go do something helpful u reject... mr malaunrouge1969- im a handyman from vegas and the only thing i can think of is there wasnt a stud in the wall where he was putting his right side 2x4 support beam on so he had to cut a secondary 2x4 and screw it into the wall where there actually was a stud than put the right side 2x4 support next to it and screwed them together so it would be "wall mount supported". i think that was idea behind that. I must agree that he should of at least put together a supplies list to help all the diy'ers here in the youtubeaverse !!! Once you added the surround is there an easy way to access the electrical or do you have to remove the fireplace? As I'm planning my surround, I'm concerned about having easy access to the surge protector for all my peripherals. (Blue ray, speaker bar and cable tower) Advise appreciated.
