The black lava rocks definitely gives the design a pop. Your designs always look like they highlight the block. Welcome, Luke! You're lucky to be part of an amazing group of people. You'll learn a lot about succulents.
The addition of the black lava rock really did wonders ! Yes, dear client, rock that seating area lattice with some interesting color, and put an umbrella on top. Just to goes to show, that you can really make interesting statement in a small space, especially considering the downslope and the edging of the sidewalk wall actually really helped to contain the vision. Love the idea of the decorative tile that could be put on the front facing of the steps, and keeping the top layer of the steps natural, so no slippage. Another great effort by Team DFS ::))
Black lava - like the shadows when bright sun shines, but when it’s not shining, they are still there ! More bang for your buck”. They ground the design, as you teach us.
I’m a big fan of this rock with the black lava combo. I love the contrast. Also loving that cute rock planter with the fire glass, it reminds me of a geode that looks like it’s spilling out all of its crystals inside.
Love the old red chairs even if the client doesn’t use them, it’s very inviting. Glad that the beautiful retaining wall is now visible and can’t wait to see what tiles she chooses for the risers and what color she paints the lattice. Welcome Luke!
So much beautiful new color and interest now! I know the homeowner has to be absolutely thrilled with her new front yard! Excellent work as always. Welcome, Luke! 😊
Hiya Luke! 🙂 Welcome to the team. I think I love the black rock a whole lot more than burgundy lava... so I guess each to their own. The install is looking incredible. And that Ferro cactus... 😊mmm. I bought a baby one last week, so was super excited to see a larger one. 😁
You and your team are amazing! What a big transformation! You just created my dream succulent garden! Thank you so much for sharing! And thank you for Your team!
I love everything about this installation! You have such a great eye to make the design flow with the style and space of the home. Great work team DFS! 💚
Hi Laura Greg and Hannah Love how you introduce your workers to us. Luke is enthusiastic about his work. Met Kevin. Colin, Miguel and Nate would be interesting to hear about too. Happy weekend all💞
The black rock is quite natural in several areas of the world and always adds a wonderful contrast! I seen black rocks in the desert here in Arizona and had to bring some home to my own yard, so much fun and great for catching movement!!
I love the black and beige rock together! I believe it’s a very en vogue color combo rn too! I really appreciate a natural landscape design and the black brings in such a beautiful contrast in an organic way. Keep it up! 🤩
Such a great way to end the day, seeing the final transformation. The fire glass spilling out of the myrt cactus cave is awesome, but my fav specimen here’s fero cactus! Big Welcome Luke, such a great shy smile 😊
Beautiful work team! As always! I do hope Elaine adds another Talavera pot between the two chairs…with a lot of blues to pop off the orange once she gets the trellis painted 🤗
I love this one! The color everywhere is amazing - plants and pots. I’m going to try to get to Planters Paradise to see if there are any of those Talavera cactus characters left. Steve and I love him. And the black lava rock looks great - you were right.
New to your channel and just want to say I’m in awe of your creativity and talent. The encouragement you give your team members and the artistic freedom really made me smile. This install was beyond brilliant! I miss So. California so much. I’m in Houston now and can probably only dream of a successful in ground succulent garden, but I’m going to give it a go. 🌿🧡✨
I just binged this whole series. OMG STOP IT! What an amazing job you did!!! 🤩 Love the way you take good ideas from viewers and use them. 🙌 Love this new top dressing. I just can’t get over how amazing EVERYTHING looks. Gotta come see this in person soon. You have such an amazing talent. Can’t wait for you to hopefully do my house someday (when I own next couple years). 🙏💜
So enjoyed this video. Thank you❤Hanna you pointing at the man, looks sooo funny. Made them look super small and with your finger super big, being so close to the camera🤭😅😂.
Hi Laura & DFS team . Love this instalation. It is a WOW for plants, particularly the lovely ferox and all the mangave and love the little tapestries. Am just not totally sold on that drift wood. Good to meet Luke. Welcome. Love from Oz
I love watching your installations lost my twin sister n feb.just after our birthday,my mom n I were into cactus succulents I'm trying to put together new cactus garden, I live Mobley home park not lot of space
Great job for all the team! I was not sure at the begining about the black rock on the ground, i always like it better in pots specially the colourful ones , but the wavy shape you've made with it, it worked amazing. Love your work !!!
At your suggestion Laura, I have also used the black lava rock, and with red lava rock and I love the look against my light gray top dressing. I hope the homeowner uses Talavera tiles for her steps instead of a solid color ceramic tile. I think they’re beautiful! Each tile is unique. LUKE! You make such a handsome addition to the DFS team! And I’m sure you are going to have a blast, they all look like a fun bunch. Plus you’ve got Laura for a boss! Lucky you! Laura, you mentioned HOA’s. I deliberately bought a home that didn’t have one. Consequently I’ve been able to completely design my own front and back yards without any interference. I was at a 55+ community where you couldn’t plant one plant without a two page approval. And then they would probably disapprove it, anyway. Those pocket rocks are so cute, I hope I’ll be able to find some here in Las Vegas.
The temperatures are finally high enough for me bring out my cacti, euphorbia & succulent collection 🥳 Gave everyone a shower, a drink and some got repotted. I also picked up a agave quad color for my yard! My bestie has one in her yard and it does great all year.
I love your work you have inspired me to change my yard and I get so many compliments on what I am doing and give you credit and tell them to check out you channel
The black really compliments and ties in the windows. You team DFS with new guy Luke included really did yourselves proud. inspired me to get out and spruce up our yard with drought tolerant succulents and boulders. You are showing the way of the new drought landscaping. it's awesome.
Luke is legit! Welcome to team DFS! Best succulent landscape company! 💕

Finally a proper welcoming for Luke 😍😅. Loved the end result of this installation also, can't wait to see how it develops.
Luke seems to be humble & shy😊....it's all good!
This is one of my favorite installs! Love the color and friendliness of the design. ❣️
The black lava rocks definitely gives the design a pop. Your designs always look like they highlight the block. Welcome, Luke! You're lucky to be part of an amazing group of people. You'll learn a lot about succulents.
Also, am LOVING how the red/orange succulents in the tapestry work with the colors in those talavera pots.. Just outstanding!!!
