you can also run them on a single transister bedini driver circuit.
they work better as a low rpm generator though 240 volt at low rpm ,and can join 2 together for 240 volt 2 to 2500 watt output
heya mate ,the direct drive motor you have there can run on ac or dc, ive done both depends on driver and wiring
It might have a issue with over heating or failed sorry about your generator
