10 reasons why you should join a conservation corps

10 reasons
1. you’ll get dirty and it will feel great
2. you’ll get real close with some creepy crawlers and cute critters
3. you will eat food outside in beautiful places
4. things will get weird
5. you will start to notice how beautiful the world is
6. you will walk a lot and walking is good for your soul
7. you will have lots of time to read
8. you will learn about type 2 fun (the kind of fun where you only realize it was fun after it’s over)
9. you will spend your time off on adventures
10. you will laugh and smile more than you thought was possible
These clips span my time as a conservation corps member in Asheville, North Carolina and then later as a crew leader in California and Colorado. Hopefully this video will convince you that joining a conservation corps is one of the best things you can do with your time. It’s a time I look back on with the fondest of feelings. A time when I made the best friends and challenged myself. A time when I learned how to fall in love with the world so easily.
