I started as a Sig fanboy who didn't want a Glock because they were "too mainstream", but let me tell you something, FN makes freaking amazing pistols.
I would have liked to see a Walther and CZ gun in the mix and see how that would have affected the rankings. Imma Sig guy all day long but the S&W looks and shoots pretty awesome. I barely saw any flip when Aaron was shooting it, seems like a damn accurate gun.
I’m not a 9mm fan, but I finally joined the club for my EDC in-town (stepped down from 10mm). I bought an FN509 Tactical, with the LAPD (think Apex😉) trigger. I run it AIWB either a sidecar and an RMR2 ADJ 3.25. The trigger was a little gritty feeling for a bit. Not sure where it changed but I’m now thousands of rounds into it, and I absolutely love it. I don’t mind the S&W but it isn’t my thing. I’d run the Sig and be comfortable, but I’ve got lots of experience shooting my wife’s Sigs so I’m familiar. Glocks are fairly reliable, affordable, mediocrity, period. FN brings SO much more value for the dollar spent. Most people gravitate towards “cheap” over other features.
Glad to finally see the FN 509 platform thrown into the mix but if you’re comparing police pistol models you should definitely try the LE version that comes with the flat face trigger

People have been claiming this for about 15 years, yet not one single US LE agencies issues CZs to their officers, if they did, we would have heard about it by now.
What holosun is that ? Didnt think they had a holosun that would mount straight on an x5 slide. Another question does it have to have a special holster to use that take down pin/gas pedal?
Tango Down & Forward Control Design colab'd and honestly one of the better plates, both companies do make plates & accessories for the X5 but the colab plate does allow you to run BUIS. Though I don't think my optic would die but if it does I like having backups As for holsters depending on use few companies offer Holsters what he is running & I run a similar one is a Safariland(similar background so I know the controls or how it works though I did add an upgraded ALS Nub which is better) not sure if he did it himself or had someone do it but personally I bought mine through RDR Gear and they modified it you can get it wrapped as well in various colors & patterns though adds to lead time. The issue is Sig had an X5 Carry but slide & barrel were different sizes where the X5 Legion has a 5" barrel. Also if you plan to or are running optics which ever model you choose make sure it's RDS so I think I have a 6390 RDS though the light doesn't matter as long as it's either a Streamlight TLR-1 or Surefire X300 both fit same holster. Also I originally had an Allign Tactical thumb rest but didn't like it & have the Gogun Gas Pedal(which Sig actually sells) and I haven't had one issue with it snagging. Probably also worth mentioning I do also run an Allign Offset Extended Mag release as well & no issue with that either. Though I may buy a Halosun 507K in the future I currently run a Gen 1 SwampFox Justice w/ 3 MOA Green Dot(the Gen 2 SF decided to use a 6moa dot which is to big for my needs).
It's the greatest time to be a Smith and Wesson guy! That P320 the Sig glazer had holstered would only win if the competition was for pistols that double as grenades 😂
"It's the greatest time to be a Smith and Wesson guy." Man what a cult, especially considering there are more Glocks and Sig in US LE holsters and not a single first world military has ever fielded any single M&P product. What a statement, these Smith fans are at the delusional level probably still thinking one day the M&P will put Glock out of business.
I love the S&W MP series. Own several of them, including the M&P 2.0 competitor. I edc the competitor most of the time. It's a great shooting pistol, full metal, light, great sites, ergonomic fit is excellent and changeable, removable magwell, great recoil mitigation, optics ready, flashlight or laser ready and it looks good. I'm a big guy(6'8) with big hands. It's hard finding firearms that fit good in my hands, let alone fitting perfectly....but the M&P line hasn't let me down. Other full-sized pistols have felt like little toys in my hands to the point that they were uncomfortable.
S&W M&P 2.0 is number one. I have one that I used in a two day carbine & pistol course. Fired 800 rounds through it in the two days without a hitch. I've not fired the Sig or an FN, so I can't say anything about them. But, the military seems to have adapted to the Sig Sauer P320. There must be something to that. As for the Glock, I've shot Glocks since the late 80's when Gaston Glock first introduced the Glock 19 to the NYC Police Dept. It was a learning curve. And an even harder to teach cops who were used to shooting S&W M&P Model 10 Revolvers in .38 caliber with a 13 lbs. trigger. Since then I've owned the Glock Gen 3 and today the Glock 19 Gen 5, which is their best Glock in my humble opinion. But, I carry a S&W M&P Shield Plus today. Had to teach myself to shoot with red dot sights.
More agencies dropped the M&P than any other gun compared to Glocks or P320s. One of the biggest was Texas DPS because of reliability reasons. Mass. State Police were just fielding new M&P 2.0s and the batches that arrived had so many problems out of the box, the MSP is switching now to the Sig P320.
@@trentroberdeau1462 Lookup those agencies, figure it out instead of being in denial. If M&P are so good and "combat proven", give us two 1st-world military or special forces than use M&P products.

But spend this and this and this for better sights, trigger and what else.😂 Better fix, get a CZ P10 cheaper price and just stock already with good sights , overall better ergo's, texture and most off all a superb trigger. I have an M&P 40. Best handgun Ive ever owned. Had a Glock 23 years ago. And at the time, it was cool, because it was a Glock. But when I picked up this M&P (an LE turn in from you guys I might add) , Soo much better. The grip, the sights, recoil, the whole deal. Mikie Likie!
Sig all way it has the best ergonomics, trigger, aesthetics, and shoot ability out of all of them. Especially when you get up to the legion series and axg
Good comparison, fun to watch. All four pistols will do their job as duty pistols. There is some personal preference and brand loyalty that the commenters will mention. Glock is the standard in the market and is a good choice, with the optional night sights, or aftermarket ones. FN 509 surprises people when they get to shoot one. It's good. The M&P 2.0 checks the right boxes, and is very ergonomic in the grip, especially with the interchangeable backstraps. Sig may have been handicapped a little in this comparison as Aaron mentioned, the X Frame and Trigger gives the P320 a different, more updated feel compared to the M17. Not being a Kool Aid drinker, if you were handed one of these pistols to work with, you would be fine.
I've been carrying my department issue Glock 23, gen 3 ever since it was issued to me in the early 2000. It has never failed me but I decided to switch to my personal issue Sig 226 in 9mm.
I say this as a Sig fanboy and have no plans to get rid of my beloved P320, but the M&P 2.0's really are underrated guns. I threw on a Wilson Combat grip on my and it greatly improved the ergonomics and feel in my hand, but I'm not about to argue the ergonomics of the M&P's out of the box.
Aaron is a pretty cool guy and a great addition to the team! Of course the CZP10 is better than all of these. Put an Apex trigger in the M&P and it is a close second.😊
Why don't you guys pick up an X-carry / X-full P320 for these kind of comparisons? Great job on objectively comparing them. These videos help me
great video thanks two you both
What ammo were you guys using? Seems like some of those rounds are really inconsistent.
S&W M&P all day!!!
Correct
Aarons Sig bias always gets me pumped! Love it!!
I started as a Sig fanboy who didn't want a Glock because they were "too mainstream", but let me tell you something, FN makes freaking amazing pistols.
Hi Point now that's a keeper! In a safe on the bottom
I would have liked to see a Walther and CZ gun in the mix and see how that would have affected the rankings. Imma Sig guy all day long but the S&W looks and shoots pretty awesome. I barely saw any flip when Aaron was shooting it, seems like a damn accurate gun.
Most departments don’t carry those for duty use, they did a hour long video comparing every modern striker fired pistol
see their other video "What Is The Best Full Size Striker Fired Pistol?" -- the results are much different. Weird.
@@Haveuseenmyjetpack I honestly feel like there opinions vary based on what sales they are having on there website
Please elaborate on the ammo issue with the Smith. I assume you were using the same ammo on all the guns?
Underpowered round, didnt send the slide far enough back to eject the spent casing. Not super common but not unheard of
@puffymarshmellow3149 Thank you. Your video's are WORLD class🙂
Watch the video Felicia, you could see there was no recoil on those two. Lol.
@trentroberdeau1462 congratulations on being the lowest class individual I've ever came across on one of these forums🤮
Glad to finally see the FN 509 platform thrown into the mix but if you’re comparing police pistol models you should definitely try the LE version that comes with the flat face trigger
Did you shoot the same ammo through all of them? If so the Glock and Sig worked every time. The M&P did not work every time.
You guy's did a fantastic job! I agree with #1 always a few haters, losers..
Smith and wesson all the way
“Ammo issue” lol ok
@@ClaytonF10 ya maybe they did not push that fact an did not cut it out so makes you think lol. I have the smith a never had a single issue with it ever. That being said not sure if I would take n e ones word 100% on any gun do your own research forsure.
Yes sir
They are definitely tempting. I’m already married though.
Smith & Wesson is not that great
I wonder if any departments will issue CZs.
People have been claiming this for about 15 years, yet not one single US LE agencies issues CZs to their officers, if they did, we would have heard about it by now.
Classic firearms, police pistols and no model 15 combat masterpiece.
😂😂😭🤣”you touch that you gotta sit down for a sec, smoke a cigarette” 😭😭
What holosun is that ? Didnt think they had a holosun that would mount straight on an x5 slide. Another question does it have to have a special holster to use that take down pin/gas pedal?
Tango Down & Forward Control Design colab'd and honestly one of the better plates, both companies do make plates & accessories for the X5 but the colab plate does allow you to run BUIS. Though I don't think my optic would die but if it does I like having backups
As for holsters depending on use few companies offer Holsters what he is running & I run a similar one is a Safariland(similar background so I know the controls or how it works though I did add an upgraded ALS Nub which is better) not sure if he did it himself or had someone do it but personally I bought mine through RDR Gear and they modified it you can get it wrapped as well in various colors & patterns though adds to lead time.
Yawn
"It's the greatest time to be a Smith and Wesson guy." Man what a cult, especially considering there are more Glocks and Sig in US LE holsters and not a single first world military has ever fielded any single M&P product. What a statement, these Smith fans are at the delusional level probably still thinking one day the M&P will put Glock out of business.
Glock 19 MOS
HK VP9
SW MP 2.0
FN 509
SIG P229
2 fails on m&p should run anything...i had same problem don't know why people love them
lol, You do realize that factory ammo is not flawless, just watch the video you can see plain as Day It is the ammo. You sound like a Karen.
@@great_deception na, not really
@@trentroberdeau1462 Lookup those agencies, figure it out instead of being in denial. If M&P are so good and "combat proven", give us two 1st-world military or special forces than use M&P products.
The s&w 2.0 trigger isn't my jam along with the glock. FN is my personal favorite, but the sig 320 if im going to be honest with my self is the best shooting pistol in the video
Kaya, you said you would upgrade the trigger for the glock. Which aftermarket trigger would be a good everyday carry?
Pizza
Performance trigger from Glock
@@doodad thanks
'Issa Trap'. Is the better intro jam
Just love it, get the Glock it's a good basic model.
But spend this and this and this for better sights, trigger and what else.😂
Better fix, get a CZ P10
cheaper price and just stock already with good sights , overall better ergo's, texture and most off all a superb trigger.
It was even mentioned in the comparison video. That they dont know the P10 series that well.
Why does it keep getting overlooked
I believe this video is based on Police duty options. I don't know if any departments using CZ
Loved the video and banter. Now do it for compact versions as well please m&p compact, G19, sig m18, etc.
for those saying the M&P isn’t reliable, watch garand thumbs frozen pistol test
Aaron what is the name of your holster for your X-Five? I also too have the same pistol and absolutely love SIG SAUER all the way!!!!! I'm just curious of the holster you use. (Thinking about getting one)
Content was excellent presentation even better. You Brothers have great chemistry. I like to listen to content while working and I can definitely just listen to your presentation.
Maybe the music in the background does it but it was almost listening to a radio show. Much enjoyed you guys have a new subscriber! Great channel!
Not sure about this p320 they shot but I have a custom combat AXG version and it's the best pistol I own....in a large collection
Yall have to do a part 2 but add upgrades to each gun because Floyd Customs and Smith&Wesson killing it. one stop shop for M&P
It just hit me that y'all are educational eye candy. ❤ it.
I have yet to shoot the M&P 2.0 and the FN. I of course have a few Glocks and won’t argue against it. But I have shot the M17 for my Army reserve unit and I gotta say that Sig definitely left a good impression on me with that pistol after shooting a few hundred rounds. Good shooting gentlemen ❤️
If FN cold figure out their trigger it would be a beast of a gun, esp the 509T
Is there any way Kaya's microphone can be muted when Aaron is in the videos?
So after shooting the MnP 2.0 did either one of you guys decide to change over to it?
I have an M&P 40. Best handgun Ive ever owned. Had a Glock 23 years ago. And at the time, it was cool, because it was a Glock. But when I picked up this M&P (an LE turn in from you guys I might add) , Soo much better. The grip, the sights, recoil, the whole deal. Mikie Likie!
Imagine if they were allowed a Walther PDP or Springfield Echelon.
Sig all way it has the best ergonomics, trigger, aesthetics, and shoot ability out of all of them. Especially when you get up to the legion series and axg
The X-Pro/X-Carry P320s are at another level. they are incredible.
I’m getting ready to pickup the x five legion here soon I had a p320 spectre comp but sold it awhile back
Should I get the 3.6 4 or 4.25 smith?
No lie, I'm loading my 320 x5 legion right now. Outstanding gun!
Damn skippy
i love my s&w
Aaron’s recoil control is MILES ahead 😂
Ya know this was really good video but why dont you do da/sa pistols and to inclued the beretta px4 storm and the sig sp2022
Love your channel guys, seriously! You should have 3 million subscribers haha
Agree with you both!!!! Great content.
Oh the Glock had no jams the Smith had 2 with the same ammo? Yep it was the ammo!
Why don't you guys pick up an X-carry / X-full P320 for these kind of comparisons? That's going to be the most common config someone will pick up at their local gun store or a local PD is going to use. It's got the better flat trigger, better grip module, and better sights. Not many are using the M17 version.
Need to do an accuracy test on paper when doing this
Honestly, the Springfield Armory Echelon should just replace them all lol
I own several guns, but not one Smith or Glock. I've been looking at the M&P and the G19 and just can't decide between the 2.
