Technically the actress is bi-racial and mostly Caucasian, so truthfully in terms of lighting and if they give her blonde hair they should be fine because being blonde is a key fact about Astrid's appearance

I understand representing others, but the problem is it comes at a cost of others too.
It takes place with vikings and nordics. Why not have Nordic actors? Why not representing their history and their people?

1. It is racist to say that you can only empathize with a person if they are dark-skinned, because that is how you treat people based on their skin color, she just does 't fit in the role 2. When it comes to culture, there were simply no dark-skinned Vikings, thereby ruthlessly destroying culture and taking it away from people. In the VIANA live-action film adaptation, the main actress doesn't know that you can "put yourself in it better" because culturally it wasn't like that, which is completely fine. It's just an insult to the long-standing fans of the films

@@ghostviper8906 I’m just saying they need to stay true to the story. If they want to remake movies as live actions they need to keep there cast looking the same. Like with Disney has been losing a lot of viewers due to this change with any race. Yes it’s just a color but these are shows and characters we grew up with that need to stay the same and stick to their culture
