@heavyspoilers that Superman poster, instead of being inspiration for Miles, was most likely a nod to the first crossover between Marvel and DC where Spiderman took on Superman. The crossover took place in the 70s and it was pretty big in the comic world.
This is a small design easter egg: When Liv transforms into Doc Oc, she puts up her hair into a huge bun- making her look like an actual octopus, her hair being its head.
Small thing I just noticed: when Miles initially paints the Expectations mural, it has the empty profile of a person over it but that is filled in with the rest of the mural when he turns in the essay, showing that he's now found himself

Penni actually was bitten by a spider, but in her universe she developed a telepathic connection to the spider that bit her, which helps control her fathers exo-suit
Gwen realizes whats happening to Miles when they bump into each other and she tries to give him stressed hints about relaxing and calming down to release her hair... But Miles being Miles he couldnt
When Miles leaps from the building, the glass sticking to his fingers breaks off. He only sticks to things when he's scared, so he hasn't overcome his fear when he jumps, but he jumps anyway. It's a leap of faith like Peter B mentions throughout the movie.
I died during two parts, I couldn't breathe I was laughing so hard I. The theater and my younger brother, embarrassed, was trying to shoosh me. The first was during the scene where his dad dropped him off at school. When he grabbed his radio and embarrassed miles before he entered. The second was the train one, starting in the grave yard where he accidentally electrocutes petter b parker. I still laugh at this scene until it ends with them on the street.
One thing I saw that I haven't heard anyone else say: One of my favourite scenes in the movie is seemingly a bit of a nothing scene. It's the one where Peter is walking away from Miles not long after meeting him. Peter walks down the wall outside and back up the other side. Miles follows him and asks for Peter's help. One of the reason this scene stuck out to me so much is that it seems to be symbolic of the two characters' story arcs and relationships. I'll elaborate: Peter has no issues walking down and then back up the walls (apart from the glitching). Miles struggles when he first leaves the window and is holding on with all fours, grabbing what he can. Miles jumps over the alley and has to steady himself, but manages it - the jump shows he is becoming more confident. By the end, Miles is stood upright and guilt tripping Peter into helping him. In real time, we see Miles learn how to be a better Spiderman.... but how? Who taught him? Nobody... He learns because he's literally following Peter - he's copying him. This happens throughout the movie: Peter doesn't really teach Miles, Miles learns by copying Peter. On the flipside of this, Peter also changes throughout this scene. He is walking away. He is selfish and he is leaving. He doesn't care about this kid - he has the drive and is going home. But something changes in him when he gets to the top: he feels bad for Miles and that bothers him - he even yells out loud in frustration. And this is also mirrored throughout the movie. The more time Peter spends with Miles, the more he becomes less selfish and grows as a person. What's more.. both characters go through arcs throughout the movie where they descend and then rise. This is noted in other scenes like when Miles falls the first time he tries to jump, but later they show him falling upwards. The alleyway scene literally has them going down one wall and then rising on the other side. It's a couple of minutes throwaway scene, but it symbolizes the whole movie.
A small addition to the 42 motif: Miles lived in Brooklyn while Jackie Robinson played for the Brooklyn Dodgers This next easter egg is from the first scene in the spider cave: You can see the spiderman PS4 suit on the far left of the display of suits
I like when Noir punches that guy and you see Applesauce behind him.Someone in a post made mention that Applesauce use to be a swear word in the 20's and 30's. So Noir is swearing there XD

"Live" works for the Alchemax laboratory; that in the Spiderman 2099 comics is where Miguel O'Hara works and where he transforms into Spiderman. Also, there are now some Alchemax labs in the present of the Marvel Universe in the comics.
12:25 - I've always thought that the glass is pulled out with his hands because he was still sticking when he jumped. He hasn't quite figured out how/when to let go yet.
You're pretty close. From what I saw, Miles had a hard time "unsticking" whenever he was scared so it acted as a safety net. The shattered glass looks to me like a way that the film shows he's still afraid but taking that leap of faith.

@@heavyspoilers Since, even in the comics, it occasionally happens that people mention DC/Marvel icons in their opposite universe that seems to be a given. For example, Daredevil once got called "Red Batman", Robin jokingly once declining a job as a photographer saying they should look for a guy named Peter Parker instead or the time Spidey straight up joked that he is Batman. So yeah, they probably exist as comic books in their respective main continuities. (Obviously, there are other universes where they just crossover) If you take in 4th wall breaking characters like Deadpool (which I don't) there are obviously countless other references.

Penni was bitten as well, but it gave her a psychic connection to her spider (which pilots the robot Sp//DR) rather than the usual set. They gloss over it, but she does specifically say she was bitten in that scene.

I'm just in love with the leap of faith scene. That moment when he's jumping, but he's just not confident enough to actually do it, so his wall stick stays on and breaks the glass. Not only does it just look good, it's a great character moment.
Also when the "whats up danger" montage happend, theres a horn(?) that's reminiscent of the horn/howl of the Prowler. I always kinda interpreted that as Miles processing the negative parts of his uncle (and his whole situation tbh) but still drawing strength from the lessons of self love and following your heart that his uncle taught him. Throughout the montage the howl/horn gets quieter as Miles gains his footing until eventually theres no howl/horn at all, just Miles heroic music.
Wow, great breakdown.. Especially that find of Matt Murdock as King Pin's son in this universe as well as the reference to Michael Clarke Duncan. Complete GOLD my brotha.
42 is absolutely a reference to the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - 42 is the answer to life, the universe and everything. The major theme of the series is the universe devolving into chaos as people travel between dimensions and time. 11:30 - Miles eyes not lining up with the suit is almost identical to the fair scene at the beginning of Captain America.
Thank you for never failing to make me laugh. Your What’s Up Danger joke make me LOL. I can’t tell you how absolutely floored I was by how good this movie is. It has been the best superhero thing in any media for me. You can feel the love put into this film by all who worked on it. Then again, the cape might not be a reference at all and just there for the joke.
this was very interesting and well written; thank you
All of this just confirms my theory that this is the greatest super hero movie ever made. Man, Lord and Miller are awesome
Yeah such a good movie, in my top five comic book films for definite
Agree, in fact, if you don't love this film, we can't be friends
Best anime or cartoonish for sure
Winter soldier, watchmen, dark knight, spiderman 2 were great too
Penni actually was bitten by a spider, but in her universe she developed a telepathic connection to the spider that bit her, which helps control her fathers exo-suit
Gwen realizes whats happening to Miles when they bump into each other and she tries to give him stressed hints about relaxing and calming down to release her hair... But Miles being Miles he couldnt
And that's why he doesn't get to like her hair 😂
This is why spiderman always has witty catchphrases
Because its actually "with great power comes great response-ability"
When Miles leaps from the building, the glass sticking to his fingers breaks off. He only sticks to things when he's scared, so he hasn't overcome his fear when he jumps, but he jumps anyway. It's a leap of faith like Peter B mentions throughout the movie.
This movie gets better every time I watch it
I laughed so hard in the theater at the “BAGEL” onomatopoeia
BAGEL!
also, the "APPLESAUCE!" when spider noir hits tombstone with the car
I died during two parts, I couldn't breathe I was laughing so hard I. The theater and my younger brother, embarrassed, was trying to shoosh me.
The first was during the scene where his dad dropped him off at school. When he grabbed his radio and embarrassed miles before he entered.
The second was the train one, starting in the grave yard where he accidentally electrocutes petter b parker. I still laugh at this scene until it ends with them on the street.
One thing I saw that I haven't heard anyone else say:
One of my favourite scenes in the movie is seemingly a bit of a nothing scene. I'll elaborate:
Peter has no issues walking down and then back up the walls (apart from the glitching).
That's dope
Love this! Saw this and felt that too during my re-watch
that's so cute
TL;DR
I still don't understand how he is falling upwards..
i was convinced you wouldn’t be able to point out anything other channels hadn’t. well done, sir. love the channel
cheers
A small addition to the 42 motif: Miles lived in Brooklyn while Jackie Robinson played for the Brooklyn Dodgers
This next easter egg is from the first scene in the spider cave: You can see the spiderman PS4 suit on the far left of the display of suits
I like when Noir punches that guy and you see Applesauce behind him.Someone in a post made mention that Applesauce use to be a swear word in the 20's and 30's. So Noir is swearing there XD
Well, the only characters that loved to reference other universe is SPIDER-MAN and THE FLASH.
So watching a spider-man movie that referencing a dc character isn't that big of a shock.
The flash(comics, animated and tv show) also referencing spider-man.
It's like they are best friend in a social media that never meet in real life. Lol
Bunch of nerds lol
@@captainobvious90 Spidey and Flash are both science nerds. You are correct.
@@ClichéGuevara-2814 yes thank you captain
So looks like the PlayStation controller in the movie is very similar to the PS5 one. Sony told us early and we didn’t even know.
So the producers have said that Stan lee actually has multiple stab lee cameos. You should look for the rest

@@kylewolf7930 I spotted two Mr. Lee appearances on the train. It was fast but you have to slow the video down in every train scene, also hidden words from the grafittis and it was too much.
Aunt May and Doc Ock were almost married in the comics, so could she and Liv have been more than friends. In the cave we see the Sony Spider-Man PS4 suit with the white spider logo.
Donald Glover also voiced Miles in an animated Spiderman series
He’s not just black, he’s Dominican as well so he’s Hispanic as well.

Do you think that superman poster was a nod to the line Aunt May says in the first Sam Rami Spiderman movie?
('Your not Superman; you know!)
Hahah I did think that, I always remember wondering if DC comics were just comic books in the marvel universe
It could also be a reference to Bendis’s run on Superman
@@tallerwarrior1256 Please don't mention that.
(Obviously, there are other universes where they just crossover)
If you take in 4th wall breaking characters like Deadpool (which I don't) there are obviously countless other references.
Well Spidey and Supes did face off in an issue before
Missed: HI, HELLO! billboard is an alternate version of John Mulaney and Nick Kroll's show OH, HELLO! Also didn't mention the other important names on the phone besides Bendis (who isn't the sole creator). Sara Pichelli the artist/co-creator of Miles and Jason Reynolds, author of the novel Miles Morales: Spider-man.
Hi, Hello is also, coincidentally, the name of a song by Johnny Marr ( ex- Smiths guitarist) who worked on the Amazing Spiderman soundtracks. It's probably coincidental but I think it's kind of cool.
The lights in Doc Oc's office, that peter sneaks down through, are like her glasses in a Octagon shape
I like it when DC or Marvel reference eachother, I think they're both greatly skilled companies.
Agreed, love em both
42 is also THE number. The answer to Life, The Universe and Everything. From Douglas Adams' 'Hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy'.
The birds behind Peter Parker could have also been a reference to the doves that John Woo likes to use in his films as they were used in a very similar style.
Another spoiler: The playstation controller was their to give a hint of the new Miles spiderman game coming out this year

Aw man! You made me wanna rewatch the movie even after having watched it like, 20 times! And you did a great work of pointing out all the minor details (almost all of which I'd already discovered myself, thanks to the rewatchings) that the other channels just hadn't pointed out yet. Great find!
Thank you, hahah go rewatch it it’s amazing
You said Penni Parker was the only one not bitten by a spider even though Peter Porker was a Spider bitten by a radioactive pig
Penni was bitten as well, but it gave her a psychic connection to her spider (which pilots the robot Sp//DR) rather than the usual set. They gloss over it, but she does specifically say she was bitten in that scene.
After reading this comment I had to go look it up, it is just so odd I couldn't believe it. I just learned that Spider-Ham was originally a spider named Peter who was bitten by an irradiated May Porker... wtf is comics lol
True, lmao- also penni was bitten. I guess they became friends after? Lol idk-
@@raziel710 Earth-8311 is beautiful in how utterly ridiculous it is. Capitan Ameri-cat, Hulk-bunny, Ducktor Doom, Doctor Octopussycat.. Further with E-93726 (Marvel 2099.. With animals) and E-14094 (Ultimate). The potential for hilarious stupidity is limitless.
At 11:40, the other Peter Parker's got bit by the Spider but Peter Porker on the right was biting the spider instead. Thats something funny that I found when I was watching the video.
Peter Porker is a spider that got bit by a radioactive pig

I really liked the aunt mae “Liv” line Easter egg 🔥🔥
What I love most about this channel is how it points out things when I thought I had it all figured out. This guy is rad. Thank you for your existence
Ey thank you!
also, miles is know in the comics to have a weaker spider-sense that could be the reason he doesn't sense the other spiders as quickly
This movie is so deep. The amount of detail in every frame, it is just so dense.
It’s insane how much detail film makers have in their movies that easily go unnoticed. Definitely a passion for what they do and it shows.
Yeah they’re so good, especially drawing this stuff in too. So much love for their work.
The fact that Great Expectations is a recurring motif in this movie might also be a nod to how Miles in the comics was introduced as the first black spider hero and everyone had certain expectations for the character before reading his comics because Spider-Man is such an iconic, beloved character
At 11:55 min, the police car has 7 lights on top which may indicate 7 Spiderman versions. My 2 cents.
Spectacular video! Congrats!!!
One scence Spider-Ham saying "You got a problem with cartoons?"
Your Spoiler-man (Spider-Man) intro is hilarious ! I wait for it every time a video of yours stars!🤣

Hi Heavy Spoilers! Long time watcher and big fan, first time commenting. Hope you see this! One Easter egg I found that hasn’t been noted. It’s in the scene when miles ties peter Parker to a punching bag. The springs that is used to wrap Peter to the punching bag is the same as the springs used to wrap josh brolin to a couch in The Goonies. The springs is an 80’s exercise device
Ah nice! Great spot. Would you believe it took me 25 years to see the goonies.
I wasn't expecting much from Into The Spider-Verse but was pleasantly surprised. It may be my favourite Spidey film after Spider-man 2. Also another great video Heavy Spoilers 👍
Was that a "Snikt" * wolverine sound * when prowler opened his hand??
Great video probably my favourite animated movies

The colours are neon green and purple. I think thats a nod to fresh prince of bel air
I'm just in love with the leap of faith scene. That moment when he's jumping, but he's just not confident enough to actually do it, so his wall stick stays on and breaks the glass. Not only does it just look good, it's a great character moment.

Thanks. Nifty info bits that you supplied to us interested yet not investigative fans.
Thanks sooo much , I had looked everywhere for real Easter eggs and you nailed it!!!
