Hahaha. I actually looked up how to catch my Autel drone when I saw you catch that on the boat. Good catch. Please... tel me how it was scooting along the western coast down to the Columbia river barr? Happy sailing !
I’ll say you got VERY lucky to be escorted by one of our resident pods up here in PNW, Olympic peninsula. Calm seas Orcas, very auspicious I’d say. Interesting to see your hometown from a travelers perspective. Safe passage.
This is my back yard, or back strait. I live 1 mile up the Elwha river. One day hope to be sailing a nice Island Packet out the strait to other destinations someday.
l am only 5 mins in, but I'm glad I watched. I had no idea that you were going to be in P.A. I just wanted to find a video showing the passage through the strait. I am a novice and want to buy a boat but most are up that way, and I'm in Portland, so I wanted to see how it is, or could be. I lived in Port Angeles for 12 - 13 year. I loved it there, and miss it and the people very much. While living there I built many vessels of all types. I worked at Westport, and Platypus marine. I would imagine my family at Platypus took care of you guys if you had work done or used the yard. I sure miss those guys too, It was the best job ever! Im now in Portland looking for My first sailboat. Ok im gonna finish watching. taking notes. thank you!
Thank you for sharing all of that! We loved Port Angeles and although we didn't have any work done, we did explore the area and someday would love to return on our Seawind! Good luck looking for your first sailboat! If you have any questions feel free to ask! Cheers!
Fantastic video as always. Thank you so much for sharing. I must say however, and perhaps this is generational But sailing docking and moving around the deck in flip-flops seems to be a disaster in waiting stubbing your toe or simply tripping and possibly falling overboard just because of footwear?
Another awesome video! You got some great shots of the boat haven & surrounding area. I love living in Port Angeles, but I am working towards floating away. Hope your trip around the Cape Flattery went well. Newport, OR is a popular place to stop when heading south. Enjoy guys, see ya next week.
That drone was so tricky to catch! And I was trying not to puke. LOL

We didn't stop at the Columbia River! We left Neah Bay and set a course for offshore! And yes Katy made a good catch of the drone!
loved the drone footage, its 29 degrees in P.A. today hope you are in a warm place.
Another PA local, cool.
We fortunately are! Thanks, Tom!

We fell in love with the PNW while there! Planning to sail back there at some point :) Thanks for sharing!

On Starboard side was not the Cascades, but Vancouver Island! The Cascades would have been far behind you! A fair day, eh! John 86 and still sailing!
Enjoyed the video ♥️♥️🥰🥰
Thank you!!
The next line should have been , And we are still afloat ...
Haha!

Id love to see some photos of your Seawind and chat about our boats! Are you a member of the Seawind Owners Association?
