I just ran across your channel learning what cudo was. I lost my mom a couple years ago and just hearing that woman screaming for you made me happy man. You’re a machine. Hope life is good years later
It seems like kudoka are Kyokushin fighters who are good at judo, but are still Kyokushin fighters at heart. It would be cool to see a more judo focused guy compete
Hi im from Ireland and there are no kudo dojos here... The nearest one is in Wales and im going to go there to train but that will just be for a holiday and they only train twice a week... Any advice how I can get started or involved? I have a background in judo/jiu jitsu and boxing/mma
Unfortunately some guys do get too complacent with getting hit because of the head gear. Also it’s a lot harder to block and avoid punches with your head as a bigger target against the smaller and faster hand speed of ungloved hands. It takes a lot of practice. I still wasn’t very good at it back when this video was done. I focused on it a lot more in recent years and improved considerably. Sometimes you have to take the headgear off and spar in boxing gloves. It helps.
Rigardo, Kudo originated from Kyokushin Karate, allowing for grabbing, throwing and strikes to the face. Then it evolved, incorporating techniques from Muay Thai, wrestling and BJJ etc to become a type of MMA.

Amazing skills and endurance, Sensei! That spinning backfist was incredible...
Like a street Fight, but with Technic(Kyokushin&Judo) amazing Fight!!
I'm rewatching your fights to get some inspiration for the next Zendokai Tournament in Bangkok!
It would be interesting if you could upload the full fights, and add your commentary (kinda like Bas Rutten did with his Pancrase fights :))
I wish there were kudo classes near me 😭😭 I'm still a kyokushin fighter tho 💪
Good luck on your journey. There are still kyokushin styles near to Kudo, like shidokan or ashihara
