If you look close the chinook flared a different projectile right as you fire. It streaks by just as you fire the jav. He had no idea a second one was incoming lol

That is the most accurate portrait of a javelin missile I have ever seen in a game. I was a trained javelin gunner. I doesn't look like you can set it to direct attack though. Usually used that for aircraft and top attack for vehicles, top attack definitely on armored vehicles.

That last Chinook flared and dodged a missile from someone else before yours hit. You can see the exhaust as it flies past him
By that last chopper you were not the only one shooting at it, there was a second missle (which probably caused the pilot to launch the flares)

The reason you can’t flare javelins is because they don’t rely on heat to track the target. Instead they take a picture of the target and look for something matching that picture

I hate the servers that say no shooting down jets or Helis like wtf are you supposed to do against that if you’re just infantry so I use my javelin get about six kills screen goes black and says you are banned 🤣 rinse and repeat

You should try operation flashpoint dragon rising, it was developed by the people who used to work as developers of arma, I think their name is code masters or something like that. It a game very similar to Arma you can command your fireteam of Marines to move into any formation or position, now I haven't played much of arma, but I've seen enough of gameplay to now how much they are like each other.
DR is actually the worst OP flashpoint out of them. OP flashpoint/cold war crisis was where it all started. Dragon rising was made for consoles to try and bring the game to more than just pc players but it sucked. It was severely limited to what you can do in comparison to the original OP flashpoint or arma. Basically what happend was Codemasters and bohemia interactive had a falling out so bohemia made their own version of OPF and named it Arma. Everything you can do in OP flashpoint you can do in Arma and a lot more.
Also, you can command a lot more than just a fireteam in Arma and OPF (original). You could make and command platoons maybe even battalions in these games if your pc can run that many units. And units of all sorts, infantry, armor, air, sea theres really no limits. but you wouldn't know that if you only played dragon rising cause you couldnt do a fraction of that in that game.
But that's all in normal Arma, devil is playing a mod for Arma called exile which turns Arma into a survival game instead of a military sim. Think of it kinda like hunger games with zombies. You have to find food, water, weapons, shelter, and survive all while being hunted by players and zombies.

If they could make it lock on like a real javelin it would be a lot more balanced. The fact you can lock on that quickly to that many different targets nad reload that quickly is OP as fuck. This is 1000x easier than shooting a real javelin. During the test as an 0352 we'd have to shoot like 3 or 4 targets and get like 7min to do so.

You are a weeb -3 it’s a 32 for the Marines on the ASVAB GT score of 80 for most infantry MOS’s and the lowest required for the IST is 2 pull ups 50 crunches and a 1.5 mile run in 13:30 or less to go to boot camp. It’s not that hard 🤷🏻♂️
