In the tranquil expanse of Northern England, a weathered farmhouse stands as a relic of a forgotten era. Once, it was the vibrant nucleus of William and his wife's existence, where their love bloomed alongside the crops they tended and the livestock they raised, growing a great butcher’s business.
Their days were filled with the laughter of their growing family and the triumphs of their prized champion horses, whose victories echoed across the United Kingdom. Yet, beneath the facade of rural serenity, darkness lurked.
With the passing of William's wife, secrets emerged, staining the farm's reputation. The revelation of bad meat and neglected animals branded the once-beloved homestead a horror farm, shrouding it in infamy.
In 2008, William joined his beloved in the afterlife, leaving their son to inherit the blemished legacy. Though he maintained the property as a shrine to his parents' memory, he chose to distance himself from its tainted past, allowing nature to reclaim what was once theirs.
As we journey through the echoes of time within the walls of this secluded sanctuary, we are reminded that even the most idyllic façades can conceal the darkest of secrets.

The skins as you say, we call it the hide of the animal and it could be why it smells of urine in the place because they used old school methods of tanning ?

Who knows, exploring the mine definitely would have been quite risky. Maybe they closed it for a good reason.
The farmer lives in the static caravan out front if it's still there it was his family home, he has never set foot inside since his parents died..
That's quite a sorrowful story, it must be hard for him to go through such a loss. We still wonder why he does nothing with his former parent's home - is money perhaps an issue?

Its likely the occupant was elderly or injured. And lacked the mobility to properly care for himself. Sad really looking at the state of his home. His life must have been difficult. Just found your channel and enjoying it despite some of the sadder videos. Ty for the uploads. Stay safe. ✌️

Piano 🎹 belongs in a museum before there was electricity. Bottles of urine maybe he became injured and couldnt walk to bathroom or outhouse . There were several walkers in there . Sounds like award-winning fanily for their livestock in their hayday . Sad no one came to claim family belongings and awards

About calendars from 2013... we've seen houses in worse state in a shorter time. If the roof damage is advanced and leakage progresses the natural decline and decay can go quite quickly. Nonetheless, i's fascinating to ponder the history and circumstances that led to its current state of decay. Each abandoned place carries with it a unique narrative, offering us a window into the past and prompting reflections on the passage of time. I'll be sure to pass along your greetings to Remon. I have a serious question: Why would someone hang meat like that in their home? I bet the smell in this place was unbearable not to mention the bottles of urine. WHAT? 😱
Hello there! Thank you for such a kind and warm-hearted comment! You're question is in fact a really good question. The smell as horrendous and whilst exploring, one of my friends stepped accidentally on the bottle of urine, causing the urine to leak out of the plastic bottle. The entire kitchen and surrounding were therefore extra smelly because of old, human urine.

I think the last resident had alzheimers and wasn't aware what they were doing. Long term memory is last to go thus explaining meat all over, he was a butcher. I went into homes in slightly better condition to feed and cloth the person. Probably could not afford long term care in facility and son kept away as they can get very agressive and violent. House was probably already in poor condition when person died and son doesn't want any part of it. Just my two cents worth as possible explanation. Very sad

Seems to me originally the house was abandoned way earlier but a squatter lived there and hence the newer newspapers. The animal bones and skins are really creepy to say the least 😢

Love the introoooo! Love your narration, our dear poet! And love the drone shots of the landscape 😍😍😍 But OMG this house! Sooo frozen in time and it's the true meaning of a time capsule 👌👌👌 Like literally everyting is left behind and just sitting there 😮 And it's a puuure mess! Ouf what mother nature can do. A lot of nice, vintage and old stuff and furniture are still left there at least. But the meat, ugh 🤢 that's weird and disturbing to me. Thats a Banjo musical instrument very old one.I'd say as he aged he got more stuborn about leaving and going to a home.Probably the family home would not part with nothing even though with no money and unable to care for it sad .Family left figure its past gone for saving.

I’m wondering if the urine was saved because don’t you use urine to tan your hide/leather ? I seem to remember something about they soak the skin in urine The blue box and bottle of Harvey’s Bristol Creme. Years and years ago, it used to come in the blue box but they did away with the box years ago and the cork in the top of bottle. It’s now a screw top. Also, the pieces of paper on the string were used in the old days for toilet paper.
